hi all,

well i usually go to another forum but noone seems to know whats going on.. maybe you guys can help..

got 5 little mazars here under a 125w enviro for a day now (they started off 3ft under a 400watt hps but thought it might be whats causing the below)... light mix soil, tap water... was spraying the soil lightly about 2-3 times a day to begin with but switch to watering once every 2 days or so about 4 days ago...

anyone seen this kind of thing before???

"best" of the bunch @ 9:20pm :

"best" of the bunch later @ 1:40am
(notice the yellowing appearing within a few hours :( )

"poorest" of the bunch @ 9:20pm :

"poorest" of the bunch later @ 1:40am ::
(simply getting worse)

group shot:

anyone got any advice at all on whats going on and how to save these??

at first it was just one (the one you can see as the worst above)... but then the others started to follow suit and are seemingly getting worse by the minute...

one of them was perfect until a couple of hours ago (u can see the slight yellowing appearing in the "best" one in the pics above... earlier, nothing... then 1:40am i noticed it... :( :(

I'd say it's the tap water..I would never use tap water...try using distilled water instead. However, i'm a noob, so I could be way off

well i switched to mineral water a few days ago but its buxtons ph 7.5 (!), so im going to start using brita filtered tap water which is 6.4ph

i dont have rooting hormone as these were from seed, and as for the soil, i'd rather try to stick with this biobizz light mix if possible, i was told its just fine for seedlings. thought it was organic mix too... bit confused...

I would agree with Merciless. I have a problem with too many minerals in the water so I have been using distilled water. I would also recommend using some fetilizer. I have started using Botanicare Pro-Grow organic liquid fertilizer, 7ml to 4 liters of distilled water and I have had some great results. I hope this will help.

Your plants look almost exactly mine. Same exact growth stage too, whatever's going on with you must be what's happening to mine.

I would not recommend any fertilizer until there about a month old you will burn them keep your ph about 6.5

Yeh nice move in switching out the hps, you dont really want to use that this early on in the grow. Can you get the light any closer to them, without burning? Looks like a bit of stretching, but im not sure about the leaves. Could the Hps light have burned them? or did those start after you already took the hps out?

same exact thing is happening to mine right now, had them started under the 400w hps but i moved that quick as they started to yellow, now they are under cf's but look just like yours... hope someone knows what this is cuz my ph is fine and im using organic soil but still got the same problem
