Currently have 3 plants going under, 2 40 watt cfls, and 2 32 watt cfls, they were germinated, then planted in some moss stuff one they germinated. Then they sat on a windowsill for a few days getting some light. After 3 days on the windowsill I had them under my current light set up. Also have a small oscilating (spelling?!) fan blowing a light breeze on them. The lights are on a 16/8 schedule.

Currently they are in 5 inch pots with miracle grow soil, I also have organic regular soil if this is the case.

Plant 1 looks great

Plant 2 has serrated leaves pointing upwards, and is now starting to lean over. also has some yellowing on leaves. Havent noticed any growth in this one in 2 days since it was put under cfls

I dont think thats the case (i could be wrong). That plant has had the cfls so close to it and the other ones doing so good that I feel like it must be something else. It has a 40 watt cfl about an inch and a half above it, so if anything it should be stretching upwards if that is whats wrong.

Is it directly above it ?
Cos in the pic it looks as tho it's behind it x
Otherwise the window sil maybe too hot for it, try misting with some room temp water & see if that helps x

ill show you a paint picture of my setup

tell me if u dont understand but

The bad plannt has 1 40 watt cfl directly above it, and 1 40 watt cfl above it to the side a bit, and then the 32 watts are setup on the sides facing in towards the plants

the temp seems to be sitting around 84 - 85 degrees, could this be causing my plant to fall over? im in a relativley small closet with a small fan in it, how else can i reduce the temp

Yes it could be heat stress, young plants are very delicate, I remember when mine where just 3 days old I had them in a propigator in the window, I fell asleep one day & it was very hot, they ALL keeled over, I removed the lid & gave them a good misting with room temp water 30 mins later they looked fine again, do you have anything to test your humidity ?
It could be 'stickily' hot for them if their atmosphere is too hot & humid x

Dude, i must say that is a dope paint picture. I always try to use mspaint to draw diagrams when explaining a story or something to a friend. Makes things funny as hell.

Fresh air is never a bad idea, so if your light cycle permits, open that door dude

LOL ms paint rocks, next time ill throw some shading in for ya :blsmoke:

hmm no way to check my humidity right now, if i have the door cracked up to circulate air better, will i lose a lot of light?

Also my gf told me not to mist them with the lights on cause it could cause the leaves to burn, is this true or am i safe.

Depends what lights your using, if you want to, wait til they go out, yes leave the door open try & get some air pushed in there with a fan if possible & if it will fit an place an oscilating fan inside this will not only aid air circulation but will thicken your plants stems up a treat x

ok so myt new plan is to crack the door while the lights are on. have a small circulating fan inside breezing over the plants. just outside the door have a larger fan pulling air out of room

I have the door opened slightly, and a new big fan circulating some air so the temp is staying around 80 degrees now. The plant is now getting very yellow leaves and is drooping. The good plant looks great still and looks like its starting new leaves in the center.

First off what kind of seeds are you using? did you plant them directly in the soil from seed? because at first they dont need intense light they need to grow a root structure which requires little light the reason alot of people get strecthed seeds is because of the light is to much or not enough I dont like the the round spiral shaped bulbs. I pefer 4ft walmart shoplights

using 3 small dark seeds, that came out of the middle of some really nice headie buds i got. I germinated 2 of the seeds until they had little roots and put them in these little tiny peat moss pots. Then they sat on the window still for about 4 days before I set the lights up. This is their 3rd full day of 16/8 light inside. They were planted in 5 inch pots the day I set the lights up.
