Yeah that light is way too far away your plants will probably stretch and fall over. Those tents are really hard to vent when your using a high temp light. They are more set up for T-5's I believe

no offence but thats not allot of use to me... they were broke so i got advise and have made a start on putting them right. I'd not done anything to try and create 'superplants' just followed the steps given on the feed we were given, hardly too much intervetion.

I do appreciate any advise given but only the advise that does have a use to me???

did you rinse out the coco and adjust the ph before planting? You might be better off starting new plants those look rough. Did you flush them last week with 3 times the amount of water for size of the pot?
yes flushed them last week 3 times amount of water to the pot, adjusted ph...
they do seem to be picking up again so i dont want to give up hope just yet.
Have lowered lamp so they dont have to stretch any more.

I'll stick my two cents in here. When you start seeds you wouldn't use any nutes for the first couple of weeks and then you would start with 1/4 strength nutes. I think you flushed them, not sure, no one told you how, you do that with 1/4 strength nute solution as well, and then bump it up, if there are no 'adverse effects', with each successive watering. Since you will be watering about every three days with the 400 watt, bump it up a quarter each time, no adverse effect bump it again.
Now, the stretching. With seeds and a 400 watt light you would have to gradually move the light down from 2' above the plants, a couple of inches a day, until your about 8-10" above them. Then you will start raising the light as the plants grow up. Of course doing this is going to require good ventilation and an air cooled light.
Couple of options for dealing with the stretching you have, prop them up until they get stonger or transplant them and bury part of the stem. Your call. VV

They look way too small to be giving any nutes.
I'd wait until they are fully recovered before you add any more nutes.

Good luck, you gonna start a journal?

you guys say all this but i give nuts from birth and in all my growing have never had any probs its because i dont over water i water till the first sings of water come from the bottom of the pot..
try two bye a small fan and have it pointed at the reflector that will move the heat about a bit and have a hole at the top at the back of the tent heat will rise and having this happen as well as the fan blowing air around will do good for the grow room also wot will help you is if you bye 2 small computer fans and have them blow air into your room thay are cheep and work well see. i have grow with hps and had great results now i am growing will cfl's to compare the difference and i can tell you that cfl's give off alot of heat mine are 2 200 watt envirolights. boy these light are big half my arm
