also im going to mix in sum perlite with my soil so they will b able to drain better. i am at the moment not adding any fertilizer . wat would b a good amount?
Your girls are in MG right?, you need add no fertilizer at all through veg. It has more than enough time release nutes that are activated by watering. Plus if you get MG perlite that also has nutes in it as well. Good choice getting the HID. I am very glad they are not 6 weeks old! LOL! Too be honest I kinda thought that was an incorrect time. I don't think they would have survived that long. For the new light, do some shopping around. You can find some good deals on dual ballast HID (both MH and HPS). If you can afford it I would suggest something like this...http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-HTGSupply-Ultimate-250w-HPS-&-MH-Grow-Light.asp

HTG is a very reliable company and they stand behind their product with outstanding CS. You may even have an HTG retail store near you depending on where you live. If you do I suggest going there and doing some shopping. And no need to feel like an idiot my friend. You are entering a new and unfamiliar territory. If you follow what you read and learn you will grow some awesome nuggies!

check what he went from...
Hi there,
I should have started this back when I started growing it...but better later then never. So...I am at day 45 of vegetative stage.
Seed: John Doe ( I tend to think it's an indica)
Small recapitulation.
I am using:

4x 35w CFL's Day Light 6400k each 18/6

Soil: View attachment 1940301

Pot: I've been using many of them now ( I am still learning) and at the moment (actually today, I replanted it into a new home) it has 11' in high , and 13' in diameter. I am guessing that it's about 13-14 liters.
Water - I am using still bottled water.
In the past I had different problems with it. First...due to my noobness I had a stretched and long steam...my lights were not the best  View attachment 1940304
and after some good advice (special thanks goes to Lime) I've started using the CFL's. Due to the light I had...I had some burns on the leaves.
Some retrospective pics View attachment 1940308 and after that...after changing to proper light...and moving it into an unused shower cabin, I realized that the moisture level was to high and due to that I've started to have a different problem...any guessing? This is the answer View attachment 1940311 ...yes, gnats, you know them, you hate them.
I've tried many non invasive things and the best way to get rid of them was the replanting it into a new pot, with clean soil and making sure that the plant is not over-watered.
After...I had some problems with the lower leaves...some yellow spots. Asked on the forum and the plant was diagnosed with Calcium/magnesium deficit. So...i gave it Ca...not in a normal way or how everybody would have done it, but I had to improvise. I gave it human pills. Calcichew D Forte. Magic pill for calcium deficit in humans. Contains 500 mg of Calcium and Vitamin D for stabilization. It appears it worked well. No new yellow spots since. This are some pics View attachment 1940315

And after all this, in one of the days, not so long ago I had some good news. The plant revealed the sex, it's a she View attachment 1940316

At the moment I am in day 45, I've just re planted it in a bigger pot and in max 5 days I am planing to start it into 12/12 light this is a pic after today's replanting
