Dont know the kind you have but i have a 24/7 nutrient monitor made by cwp and it needs to be calibrated every now and again the cheap kind are cheap for a reason imo and I recommend calibrating them as well. They will and do drift.
If not I recommend getting some of the ph test strips to do use against the ph probe. If the probe reads 6.0 and the test strips show the proper color that is an easy way to see if your probe is on point.
I hope were talking about ph probes {i seen hotrod mention it} but ec meters should be calibrated or checked once a year I guess. I dont check my ec meter very often but the ph probe I check....Especially when I notice there has been a jump in my ph first thing I do is calibrate the probe or use test strips before BLINDLY going by the probe , jack up some plants doing that a few times.
