Hi, so this is a picture of my 21 day old plant.
It has been doing fine except in the last 3 days the small rounded leaves started to turn yellow, and now they are dark brown (but not crispy, just like velvet feeling..)
Starting about 40 hours ago the plant's 2 bigger leaves started showing signs of yellowing..
They also had a kind of dehydrated look. So I gave them a bit of water. About 10 ounces.
I hadn't watered the plant much AT ALL (maybe 3 or 4 times with a very small amount- 1 tablespoon or so) since its beginning 21 days ago when the soil was decently damp.
So, the plant still has a kind of yellow spread throughout the middle and sides now. ( Its hard to tell by the pictures but its worse than you can see. Its not super yellow, but you can definitely tell when seeing it in real life).
I know the small leaves are suppose to fall off- but the yellowing? Can anyone help?
I have it in organic potting soil made for growing organic vegetables (It's from Whole Foods Market, but I'm not sure of the exact stats).
In the beginning I mixed the recommended amount for a 3 gallon bucket; (6 tablespoons) thorougly with 'Garden Club Organic All-Purpose Premium Slow Release Plant Food.' Its a hydrolyzed feather meal, meat and bone meal; blood meal; and sulfate of potash.
Total Nitrogen: 10.00%
9.00% Nitrate Nitrogen
0.25% Ammoniacal Nitrogen
0.75% Water Solube Nitrogen
Available Phospate 2.00%
Soluble Potash (K20) 8.00%
Calcium 1.80%
Total Sulfur 3.00%
9% slow release Nitrogen
I have 2 15W tubular grow lights emitting a purple/blueish light for this one plant.
Anyone have any suggestions?
