Hey guys, my seedling is 8 days old I think and I noticed that the leaves are starting to curl... The plant looks pretty healthy for the most part but I didn't notice some curling that is concerning me...

Temp is 79.5 - 80.5F
Humidity is 22-24% <-- I think that may be it, is the humidity too low? If so how can I raise the humidity short of buying a humidifier (funds are low)

Been on 18/6 with CFLs, getting some water whenever she feels dry. Water is city water being left out 24 h.

Humidity is it way too low. Get it up to the 50s and watch the improvement!

Might just be me, but I don't see any problems with that sprout. The bottom leaves are curling and dying because they've done their job. I can understand how raising the humidity may help, but otherwise it looks fine. Cheap and easy way to raise the humidity is to just boil some water and put it in the same room, the steam will help to raise it. Could also just leave a pot or bucket of water near the plant.

This is my first grow, so I have no idea. If they are supposed to die, they are supposed to die. I just don't want my poor thing to die. :(
+rep, because that's exactly what I did.

Yeah man, nothing to worry about, those little round leafs will curl p and die once they have done their bit. Your plant will go through a process of natural selection throughout the entire grow - directing energy where its needed, and killing off things it neither wants or needs.
Do alot of research in the forum and the FAQ guide, and all should become clear to you.. Well, not all as there is too much to take onboard right away, but it gives u a better idea put it that way..
