HELP Rockwool clones not doing to good not sure what ve done wrong?

1200w ten inches away from clones might be a little over kill....lol. Clones usually take about two weeks to root. They also need close to 100% humidity. You need to put the dome back on them or invest in a humidifier. Also, I might stop with the hormones and switch back to regular water. If they still haven't rooted in another week, you might have a problem.

i have no humidifier or dome , would putting a few glasses or buckets of water in there near the lgith b a good idea? and how do you go about watering them ? thanks for your time awnsering

That is waaaaay more light than those clones need, you're giving them 1200w? If so that can easily burn the shit out of them. Foliar spray them several times per day with an EXTREMELY mild nutrient solution. The higher the humidity the better also, it can make a big difference and with that amount of heat from the light your humidity is probably pretty low. I would also personally use PH of about 6.3 for cloning and use some rooting gel. Domes are cheap at your hydro store and recommended for at least the first 72 hours IMO. All you need for those clones is some fluorescent tubes or a couple CFL's until they ready for transplant then you can pour it to them. Hang in there, Ive had some challenging experiences with clones but they've always pulled through it takes a while if your environment isn't just right.

Can't hurt, and if you can fashion a dome from 2 liter bottles or what ever you can think of its better than nothing. Whatever you have to increase the humidity, do it.

thanks whagbag i was thinking about tranfering them tomrow into the our NFT to try boost things even though they have not rooted , becuase about 5 of them look nearly dead but my friend said that a few of them looked dead but they pulled there selfback , would you recomend just having one 600w on and if so how far away would you positiong this ? thanks alot ,

I would just leave them in the rockwool and get some rooting powder to sprinkle on the cubes. PH adjust some water and and keep the cubes wet and foliar spray them as often as you can. One 600 watt light is way more than enough until after you transplant IMO and I would keep it as far away as possible. I normally use (4) 54w fluorescent t5 tubes and I keep those at least 1' away from the plant tops. I don't veg or clone with MH so I can't say for sure but the further the better i would think.

Myself, I use peat pods during the initial clone root, then as soon as they pop roots, they get transferred into a rockwool cube or slab depending on the table layout.

Works very well for me. Some hydro purists will knock this, citing non sterility and such. Never had a problem with it leading to any kind of root disorder, or mold/fungus.

Just like using the pods because I could fit a whole whack of them into a single humidi-dome, and the pods stood better than small rockwool cubes becuase of their lower center of gravity. Thus, limited the amount of cloning lighting needed.

I always use flurries for cloning. Once rooted, then HID's take over.

If you HAVE to use HID's currently, keep them far away.
