Help saving this strain! +rep

ok so here it is. i have an insane trainwreck plant that i want to keep the genetics of. Unfortunately there are no more seeds of this strain. so i had a few ideas, one is to re-veg the plant when i harvest, another is to clone the plant when i harvest.
has anyone done this? and if so can you somewhat guide me through or explain what needs/can be done
I need input from any of you who have experience PLEASE! this strain is infuckingcredible and i want to grow it again..even better than this time

if you want it that bad id put the entire plant back in to vegde switch the light cycle back to 16/8, also iv not seen anybody comment on the rule of generations that states a plant will lose its genetic integrity by a certain amount [not sure how much] every time its cloned, if you have been taking clones from the same mother plant then it dont matter but some people like to have a perpetual cycle going if its like 8th generation then fukit off anyways

forgot to mention this plant is outdoors. its a beast. and yea ive heard about going backwards with taking clones from clones, i dont want to do that.

have you thought of pollinating a small portion of it? With another good strain ofcourse and make a sweet hybrid with trainwreck genetics and traits. Just an idea if you cant find anything else...

Just reveg a flowering clone. That's what I'm doing, switch lights back to veg cycle. Reveging a flowering clone is suposibly even more potent, since it's on it's second flowering. It's more mature. Happy growings

he might mess it up if he's never done it, and if there aren't many healthy fan leaves left it won't be possible.

I hope your cloning success rate is high cus you're gonna have to take some clones. You can take a clone right now, off a small branch or something. Cut off most of the bud and dry it, if saving that bit of weed matters that much , but leave the center growth shoot so it can continue to grow once it roots.

and I'm pretty sure that losing potency/genetics when cloning a clone is bullshit, somebody back me up.

thanks, it crossed my mind to pollinate but i'd really rather not unless it was a good strain with good genetics. i dont even have pollen anyway. i guess i will just clone it and reveg it.
I'd like to believe that its bullshit about cloning and then cloning that clone but i'm pretty sure theres science behind it. check out those puntam squares or whatever theyre called for genetics and how plants get theyre traits. it goes back to Mendel's pea plant experiments

If it's a bomb strain and you clone it, it should still stay a bomb strain. If not, you ducked something up.

mendel did breeding experiments, not cloning.

I'm pretty sure the cloning thing is bullshit.. TGA breeder Subcool takes clones of clones all the time, unless I'm mistaken.

Fan is the man, haha thanks for the persuasive speech. But now, should i clone it now, or wait till she's atleast done so I dont waste the bud or stress the plant even more(she's gone through alot with deer already)...Will it make a difference???

and fuckit, its not a huge deal to me if the reversing genetics thing is true, its just gonna be differnt bud, whos to say yet that its gonna be worse....haha right?
