Help! Seed Sprouted and Now Growing Anymore?

kay so i germanated some seeds the first to pop out a tap root i put in dirt when it was about a inch maybe half inch out, the seed poked outa the dirt, and now it just stoped growing? its been on the surface of the dirt for about two days now?

Hey, so is this only happening to one of the seedlings or to all?

If you're using paper towel method, you can run into trouble sometimes at first, but it should come out of it.

To avoid the problem in the future, just put the seed in the dirt.

Your seedling is probably just focusing on growing it's roots. All my plants did the same thing. They sprouted, got about an inch tall and then stopped growing for the most part for a week or so. Once the plant gets a little sprout it uses that to draw in energy from the light and grow it's roots. Once the roots get a good amount going they will start growing again.

If its still a stem with a seed on top with no leaves after 2 days its fucked. Could be a number of reasons why it happened, did u place seed in with tap root up, did u wait too long after seed cracked to plant it causing it to run out of energy or it could be just the shitty genetics or age.

I disagree. I've had seeds that came out with just a stem and a seed on top. It took a few days for the seed to pop off and leafs to come out of it, but now that plant is bigger than the ones that had a better looking start.

Just keep taking care of it and give it time.
