HELP- Starting Mother Plants

Ok guys Ive been doing some research for a little but cant seem to find a clear answer. When you start your mother plants, do you plant a seedling that's becomes a female plant and leave it in the veg stage then take clones her OR veg and flower the female seedling then rejuvinate her????? Thx for you guys time..

the first one sounds closest to being right...few people put plants back into veg after they have flowered but its possible. It is not reccomended though.

You keep you mothers in veg and what you clone is what you flower.
