HELP! Stealth box first grow way too hot.

Started my first grow recently using 2 sterilite bins as a grow box. I have 6 23W CFL's for lighting, and originally started with two 120mm computer fans for an intake and an out take. The temp was hovering from 95-100 degrees in the box once I put in the mylar, so I moved one of the fans to the top of the box and switched them both to outtake, but the temp was still too high. I just finished moving both fans to the top of the box keeping them as outtakes with passive intake holes at the bottom and it has dropped a few degrees, but I'm still afraid its too hot. I've done quite a bit of looking on the forum, but haven't come across any solutions yet. If anyone has any suggestions or any comments at all I would be extremely thankful. :peace:

What size is your box, and what power source (how many volts) are you using for your fans? I'm using two 120mm pc fans to cool my box, and my temps didn't go much past 80.

If you're using less than 12v per fan, they might not be spinning quickly enough to cool the box sufficiently.

You can also put a bowl of ice cubes in your box to keep temps lower, just keep checking the humidity.

THe box is made of 2 plastic containers stacked on each other with the bottom cut out of the top one to make one large container. Altogether its about 3 ft tall. and 18" wide. I just bought some flex tube from home depot to run to my window ac unit to one of the intake holes to see if I can get some cooler air in there. The computer fans are being powered by a computer power supply so they should be getting enough power to run to their full potential.

Well got the flex tube put it and its down to 75 :D so looks like I got it worked out. Not as stealth as I was hoping with a big shiny tube coming out the back, but hey at least its cooler now lol.
