help! Suspected deficiency - purpling / leaves going solid rust brown

Hey all

Second time grow in my tent, have a 900w Viparspectra light in a 4*4 on 7 little plants in flower. Last two weeks of flower currently and every day I'm getting more and more DARK purple leaves with yellow banding - no bugs, no mites etc - I slacked on giving them nutrients for a week or two and just re-fert the other day when I was watering. Thinking that's what I'm seeing here, but expert eyes help.

Purpling, leaves going a solid rust brown with little yellow spots in the rough area of the veins

Are those leaves up high or down low on the plant? I’ve seen leaves turn similar colors that were getting too much light. it is clawing a bit which would indicate a little too much N. I feel like it’s probably light related and the clawing isn’t a big deal

The light is fairly high up and I haven't moved it since they've been tied to the netting - it seems to be mostly in one plant so I'm thinking either too much or too little of something, will try to grab some better pics of the plants themselves

Look under fed from my eyes . Would also say they got more than a couple week left :D
I was wondering that myself! I missed a week ish of feeding because I wasn't home to do it myself, so they just got water. Wondering if I'm looking at a combo of deficiency / the plants starting to try to finish up without enough of certain things. They're sitting at about week 11 / 12 of flower now, mostly milky trichomes with some very slight amber starting. Probably going to try to harvest in 2-3 weeks time? Fed them a few days ago and haven't noticed any new blackening / banding on the leaves - will have to maintain a light feeding schedule for the next few weeks and go from there.

I’m not sure there’s much you can do after flowering for 3 months but what strain is that ?

It's two "OG Kush" seeds from Quebec cannabis, and the other 5 are pink Kush bag seeds from a cheap oz I got over the summer. Been feeding them the advanced nutrients 3 part system! Switched over to flower on August 4th, saw the first little flowers about a week later on the 11th.

No clones, wasn't super sure on how well these plants would do but I did start 2 feminized UK Cheese seeds and 2 feminized OG Kush seeds a few days back - they're just about an inch tall each right now. Thinking I'll likely give the current plants another feed this evening, then just water for a week and a half, chop em next weekend unless things start to look dicey as far as the buds go?

Probably doesn't help that I'm using the bare minimum for light in a 4*4 tent - only one Viparspectra 600w currently. My next gear purchase will be another 600/900w

For sure, will do!
I've been checking them with a loupe for the last week or so and they look *almost* ready to me - definitely smaller buds than my last grow but the last grow was bruce banner and they took almost 13 weeks, plus it was 4 big plants in the same space vs 7 smaller ones that I have currently. I'll take some pictures in a minute and upload!

I had a very similar issue recently with one of my plants, sudden yellow banding on the insides just like your picture and couldn't figure it out, turns out my pH was on the acidic side and locking out something so I gave it some baking soda and worked a treat leaves started coming green again after a week or so.

They look alright don't they . Better pics them , the purplish might just be them finishing off . I done the Trainwreck a few years ago and close to harvest they showed up some real nice colours .
I wouldn't sweat about it ,:rolleyes::rolleyes:

So is anybody identify this problem though because I've never seen that before I want to keep a mental memory this in case I ever have this problem

I thought the plants were finished too because the yellowing of the leaves is an indicator that you're almost done
I was also lazy this time around and really bad for not trimming leaves that turned yellow / the ones under the netting not getting enough light. I'm fairly sure they're almost done as well, and from what I've seen scouring around the net it could be a lockout / defeciency of phosphorus or magnesium? Gave them another bit of bloom today with some ph up, will let ya know if it changes in the next week or two before I cut em all down!

Yeah I did the cow mag I had a deficiency right at the end everybody said you never use calcium but I understand try checking your pH of the runoff and I also learned that when using ph up you need a lot of that blue stuff if you're going to use it every time I want my pH to go up I had to use quite a bit of the blue but when PH down you only need very little orange they acids very strong
