Help! What is happening?

So I was doing a drain and replenish last night and I saw that one of my bag seed plants had seeds. I started investigating and found that all of them had seeds, mainly on the small lower buds. I went ahead and cut all of them. Yesterday was the end of Week 7 flowering.

When I got home tonight I checked my Crystal Rain and it appears that it is showing seeds on the smaller buds too.

Out of my eight plants, I had three males and pulled them immediately. I can't figure out what happended.
I could understand if one hermied, but all five of my girls, can anyone help me here? What should I do?

thanks!

sadly, a hermie ball can pop up in very hidden places
if you look closely, you will probably find the culprit
bag seed is a calculated risk, but then so are plenty of breeder seeds, you never know what will screw you

one hermi branch can ruin the whole crop, sux but now atleast you have plenty of seeds for growing

well, I cut my crystal rain last night, most of it anyway. I figured I would leave some of the smaller, seed infested buds on to produce seeds.

After doing some hermie research I am starting to wonder if these seeds will be any good. Will they be crystal rain, or crytal rain crossed with bag seed? Will they stand a higher chance of herming b/c they came from a hermie and contain the hermie gene?

thanks

I think you jumped the gun a bit chopping it all down... if it all had seeds then there was no point really, even bud with seeds and can still be decent once you de-seed it of course. You should have kept trucking until they was properly ready and flushed then cut dried and harvested...

the hermie trait is supposed to be pretty dominant
so sadly the answer is yes, the seeds will likely be hermies too
this is why the hermie trait is so hated, once it gets in, it won't get out

Don't rule-out a neighbor or field being near-by...

If you are sucking-in outside-air, you could be sucking in pollen from another location.

If you are sucking-in home-air, you could be sucking in pollen from your bags that had seeds in them. (They had seeds in the bud because pollen was around, and is all over those buds. Never handle your buds after you handled bag-weed. Pollen is all over your fingers, and transfers to the buds. Wash your hands or just stop touching your plants.)

Though, I would guess that the culprit is a single flower on an unmonitored branch. Stress can cause plants to flower... Kill the bugger and move-on... Just be sure to wash-out the grow area with alcohol spray or peroxide spray, diluted in water, before placing new plants in there. (The pollen from one grow can spoil the next grow, as it sticks to anything moist or gets trapped in your ventilation ducts.)

Help reduce future damage by using hepa-filters, where possible. (Also separate your light-cooling from your grow chamber, if you have light cooling. Don't suck chamber air through the light.)

1 pollen sack of a single plant can pollinate all of your plants.... it's horribly sad =[.

I'm guessing they only got on lower buds because the leaves about lower buds stopped them from rising... not sure, don't know what your grow room looks like.
