HELP! WHEN TO FLUSH w/ PICS +REP
permalink

Whats up RIU Im a noobie and I think my plants are getting close but my trichs are all clear and Im trying to get an idea of when I should begin to flush. I dont want to flush too early and starve the plants of nutrients.

Can someone please help with some experienced advice.

The plants are bagseed and they have been on 12/12 light since 12/9/09 (40 days). I do have GH's FloraKleen.

My question is when should I begin to flush the plants and should I even use the FloraKleen.

ALL ADVICE IS WELCOME +REP FOR GOOD EXPERIECED ADVICE.

Looks like some fire ass bagseed! Those pistles still look white to me. But the plant looks good. Lookin like a indica, prolly a 8-9 week strain. I dont harvest til hairs a red, and start to pull back into the bud. I would flush a first sight of amber trichs. Tho everyone says flush ur plants. I have, and have not, with the same strain, same grow. No diff. But since everyone reads to do it, everyone thinks its a must. I do flush, cause of that reason. Cliche!

Well actually flushing DOES affect the taste and the way your shit burns. But it also depends on what type of nutes and soil you're using, organic you don't really have to flush as much as chemical nutes, 1 week for organic and 2 weeks for chemical nutes.
Your plant still looks like it has some growing to do, nice looking by the way. You're at day 40? I'd prolly wait 2 more weeks and then start flushing if Chem nutes.
But go by your trichs and hairs.
Good luck hope this helps

Damn son, looking pretty for bag seed. Flushing is something I have been curious about for a while. I now know that unless you have severely burnt your babies there is no need for a flush until the last two weeks of flowering. I have heard some do closer to three but mostly last two is what Im seeing and doing. You are close, but keep flowering and decide whether you are working with 6,7,8,....10 week plant. Yu may never really know the exact amount before it happens, but the trichs will et you know, also rather than simply guiding your choices by colors, also remember to watch for when they start receding into the nuggos. When you have decided how long you will flower for, flush last two weeks before harvest. good luck. keep it up man.

I hear that you its ok to flush a little bit longer than 2 weeks. But to flush shorter is risking a chemical taste. props on the plants btw.

The plants still have white hairs/pistils so they are still growing and putting on tons of weight. i would say keep feeding going until theres basically no more white pistils and then start flushing for a week with water and blackstrap molasses and then one week just water. Plants look great! Good job and hope this helps!
