HELP! White Slime/Gunk in Resevoir

HELP!

So i have a 45 gallon resevoir and i just changed ther water 2 days ago. Until now i have had no issues. The water has always smelled fresh and not hash at all. Today when i was going to check the PH i noticed a white foam buildup on the sides. When i inspected more i found white goo. Honestly the best way i can secribe this is white snot. As i am empting the bottom of the resevoir i am noticing ALOT of this gunk floating around. Its in every pot also now. Please if you have any ideas of what this shit is please help.

I just added root roids and sealed the whole in the resevoir lid. i dont know if that could start an organic reaction.

looks like slime to me. What are your water temps like? Are you growing DWC.

No its not a DWC its an Ebb and Flow. The Temp is Room temperature.

Some products seem to really slime your rez esp with air stones. I know when I once used Snow storm ultra in the past it grew snot all over my air stones over night. It's algae it really doesn't hurt much but does eat some of your nutes. Usually best remedy is avoid known product that causes problems, keeping the rez below 80, and most importantly LIGHT SEALING the rez as much as possible. Obviously while the tray is full that's kinda a problem, but for me that's only about an hour per day, and the plants make a pretty good cover within a week or two of being moved to flower. Don't waste your time on h2o2 wont touch algae... sometimes chlorinated water can work, chloramine is even better but this is referring to a purely synthetic hydro system. Also I've found hygrozyme to be a good preventative (only) but since stopped using it due to high cost.

There is a cheaper hygrozyme called cannazyme...does the same thing...it is cheaper but seems like it says to use a lot at a time...so....

Yep. I am also now using Cannazyme. Calls for 9 ml/g in hydro. and at least weekly applications in soil. Costs me roughly $100/cycle but the cleaning power is worth it IMO. Only use it in flower usually. H&G makes a comparable product called Multizyme. They are not all exactly the same tho, formulated a bit diff so one may work better for your particular situation.

Thanks for your posts guys i appreciate the information. I believe i have figured it out and have solved the issue. I have been using Advanced Nutrients and nothing but for the entire time and just 3 days ago i added an organic Root Roid substance. Apparently if you add organics to a non organic system without hydrzeme or whatever was posted before, the organics will thrive and eat the nutrients and oxygen in the water. The hydrozeme is actually an organic itself which feeds on these bad organics ( i believe). So in order for me to remedy the issue i emptied the resevoir ( which was FILLED with this mucus stuff in just 3 days mind you) and cleaned it with rubbing alcohol. I then filled the system up with tap water which should have some small chlorine ammounts in it and ran that trhough the system like 5 times. Finally once i had a clear and fresh water supply i added my nutrients and PH'ed the water to 5.6. I also read that adding H2O2 to the resevoir can help keep things in order so i did this too. Its been a long day but i hope and pray to the weed gods that i have solved my white ectoplasm problem.
