Help wit my plant

Why is the leaves around this cola looking loopy, yellow and sickly looking. All the colas around it is all looking healthy and well. What could cause this? Is this the begining of bud rot? Help!

It’s an outdoor grow. Location is in norhtern CA, maybe 8 weeks into flower. Strain is Citrus Crush.

Id follow that stalk all the way down and look for a break or rot.

Is it the only one affected?
Can we get a pick of the other part where its rotted on the plant please?
Attached 2 photos of the plant. One pic is normal, one pic is magnified. I cleAned the end of the stalk with 3% peroxide.

2 choices here.

1. Cut all black parts put of that stalk. Don't just clean it. Cut it out with a razor blade slowly. Only go as deep as you need to see zero black. And then pray it works.

2 cut that shit off the plant all together and pray it hasn't already spread.

Personally I'd do #2.

Waaaaaahhhhh!!!! this breaks my heart!!!!!
Thank you for the advise! It’s my first time growing. Any bud rot prevention tips? It was a bit rainy last week in our area. Im thinking that was the cause. Should i defoliated outdoor plants the way indoor plants are defoliated? I also use plant theray every week for prevention of bugs.

I'm willing to bet some kind of debris fell on that joint of the plant and the water from rain and spraying got locked in that small area.

If you can cover the plants when it rains that is your best bet.

I cant advise on if you should defoliate an outdoor plant because I am running an experiment now to see how I feel about it.

Hopefully someone else will chime in.

I never dealt with rot on my plants. I just knew something happened along that stalk.

Botrytis from the look of things. Sadly it will just get worse since it is systemic and inside your plant, time to get her affairs in order...
