Hey.

I have a 4ft wide 2 ft deep 9 ft tall closet. Id like to grow two plants if its possible. How many cfls and/or long tube florescents would I need? I understand that " For Vegetation you will want to use 6500K or 5000K, and when you flower you will want to switch to 2700K or 3000K ." but im a little bit confused. If it was vegetative state would i just use as many lights in the 6500k/5000k color range as I want? Or is there a certain amount I would need? i.e. 4 23w cfls for each plant?

thanks

well i am new to the hole cfl growing thing alsur o but as far as i am told/that i have read 6.5k and 5k are good for vedge bud u will want to mix your lights up a bit dont just use that 5k or 6.5k and if u want to hang them from the top of your closet u'll need alot of lights most people use like 6 or 7 per plant so it grows good and fast...so use like 5k 6.5k and maybe like some 2.7k's along with your shit

hope i helped

and make sure your lights are atleast 3 inches away from the plant people say atleast 2 inches but 3 gives u a bit of leyway with the growth

I have grown a plant up to a month in with only 2 cfl's, the growth rate seemed pretty fair, after that I had to expand right now the plant is roughly 2 1/2 month neighborhood and using one overhead floro and 6 strategically placed cfl's... they seem to be providing plenty of light I haven't had any significant problems with the plant on that set up. ...oh and you'll want some mylar to make the surfaces in the closet reflective to help increase the benefit you get from the light you have
