Try to cut past two nodes, the part where the branches separate from the stem, be liberal with your cuttings.. the bigger they are the more chance or survival they have.

Of course bigger cuttings are preffered but small cuttings are fine will jus take a little longer to root and will be allround a little slower. Never let rockwool or plugs dry out, mist the dome few times a day ,i avoid spraying direcly on foliage as its pointless and does not speed up the process, your dome will still be in the 80-100rh. You will have routed clones in 10-14 days.

I i use a heat pad but its not a big deal if u have'nt got one, soak your plugs in soloution(eg rhizotonic,formulex.....) drain so they are not to wet, take cutting and place in clonex or whatever rooting hormone you preffer then place comfortably in the plug and place in propagator, also try avoid touching foliage jus a little tip, and remember to never let the plug dry out (i mean really dry). Cant even remember the last time i failed to root, was some time ago. Good luck bro.

I use the larger 2-inch jiffy pellets. I found that bigger pellets handle larger clones better.
Try to take clones large enough to have a hole running thru the middle of the stem. This
helps the leaves stay moist by siphoning water quickly thru the hole.

I would use cuttings twice the size that Jorge is messing with in the video. His cuttings are too small to have a hole.

I actually ordered a scalpel and disposable surgical blades off ebay. What I do is cut the clones of the plants with clean, steril scissors... Next I dip the cut in clonex rood gel... Then I give the leaves a haircut... After that, I take my scalpel, dip the blade in cloxex, do the 45% cut where I think best. I then gently scrape the stem and while doing that, I'm dipping the blade in the clonex. After done and ready to put the clone in the rapid rooters, I dip her again in the clonex... Put her in the plug, give her a spray down with a mixture of water/superthrive/clonex (clone solution - NOT GEL).

I'm prolly 90%-95% successful on my clones :)

Im guessing your 5 or 10% is you not being liberal, taking to small of cuttings and then they dont root seems as if your doing something wrong when really you jus have'nt given them the chance(well not even a chance)of survival. the bigger the cutting the more chance of rooting, obviousy not being to big.

If your mother is cloneable no reason why you should'nt have 100% clone rate.

Everything I do is legal - I have too much to loose to not be a legal grower. Because of that, I don't take too many clones. I figure if I lose one or two in a year, that makes me about 90-95% successful. One outta twenty is 5% right?

Im saying that 1 you lost was more than likely to small to stand a chance, was not saying you cant clone jus that taking liberal cuttings can mean never loseing one again. And of course whats 1 clone but hey whats the harm.

Haha, I actually feel bad when clones don't make it... I sometime feel bad to chop down my plants - but not for too long ;)

You will see improvements in crop just from getting a 400 a 600 is ideal but its that bit more expensive to run and of course heat issues, some are lucky enough to have a card , wherever i am on the planet im a legal patient, just the way i see, not the way my government sees it but ohwell thats life and my life.
