Help with Cloning

ok i think im missing something huge with my growing op. im currently in my 2nd grow. i was planning on cloning since i bought real seeds this time instead of bagseed like last time. however like last time, my plants do not want to grow side branches. all i get is my main stalk, and then leaves off that stalk.

how does god expect me to clone plants like this. i have yet to find an explination on this. i made a pic of what i mean.

do i need to start topping my plants in veg to get more branches? i veg under a 400watt MH light so i dont understand why this is happening to me. using fox farm nutes. growing in soil. someone help!

what seeds do u have?

To get the internodes long enough to clone, you
will have to veg. longer. Some strains don't grow
as fast.

top it the lower leaves will begin 2 push nodes out the main stem

did u sex those seeds bud?! Some seeds, outta some bag. You may be looking at trouble there if ya didn't.

Here's what ya gotta do,,,you have to turn those plants....12/12. Carefully, intervally, looking at the node growth at where the stock and sun leaves meet. Is the node pointing straight up in a V shape??? or drooped in an m shape. v is female and m is male.You'll need maybe around three weeks, for me its around three weeks, some guys can do it sooner, some will disagree with it, but do it for three weeks and you'll know for sure....Can't understand your drawing..but,but,but I think ya got some sausages there. After identifieing which is which you will need to revert.

Only turning them will tell, and if your thinking of that MHS for flowering, don't think! Get an hps.

but i refuse to sex my plants and then switch back. sounds like too much wasted time. ill just veg longer next time.

Veg longer you can start by cutting above nodes.

Bonide Tomato Blossom Set Spray will cause lateral branching without the need to nip the bud. It's good stuff and great for creating branching on mothers.

i cut and driped in rooting hormone the top new leafs of a 2 week old plant. it's not doing mch and it's been about a week. just wondering if it will ever take off or is it dieing hope?

i would top them about 2-3 weeks into veg, you will get some nice clones soon after that...

Ive had a lot more success when they have a stem and several nodes ...

you need a stem and several nodes dude to make a cutting that will root fast and grow into a strong high yielder.
