Help with germinating seeds.

Hey everyone. I have 3 autoflower seeds. I placed them in a shot glass of water for about 24 hours. They started to crack open. I then placed then in moist paper towels to get them going. I had them between 2 plates. I seen a small tap root starting to come out of 2 of the seeds. Now I see them and the tap root looks like it just stopped growing. I placed them in my starter cubs which are root riot plugs. I see none of them growing. So are seeds dead or should I just wait alittle longer. Do you have any ideas on what happend or what is best to do now?

was it the same strain as last time? how long has it been
no not the same strain. Last time it was regular seeds. These are autos. They cracked open about 3 days ago. So placed them into my starter plugs. I took a peak today at them and tap root and everything is the same. There has been no growth at all.

I personally don't like root riot plugs, they are too just dense in my opinion, and hold too much water. I like jiffy pellets, and I skip the paper towel stuff. If the seeds are cracked, and it has been 3 days, they probably are shot. Sorry

I had one i thought for sure was a dead player but it just took its time and sprouted.

So hang on, you never know, as some strains are just slow out of the gate

ok thank you for the reply. I have them sitting in the kitchen window for alittle warmth. Is that a good idea or what should I do with them?

How is it every day people log in and ask for germination help. Did you skip the week in first grade where we germinate bean seeds. They are either gunna grow or die, my advice is quit man handling seeds in between glasses of water, paper towlels, and starter cubes because they are so fragile.
