Help with HEAT my babies are in danger !!

So I created this lil' stealth box

i have put alot of time and effort into this and its for medical purposes as im a mmj patient ..

right now I have my babies under *2* T-6 ( 6500k ) fluorescent shop lights.. once i turn on my 1000w MH bulb to test the results, the room temperature skyrockets 105f - 115f. i have *1* oscillating fan ( typical room fan ) in there moving the hot air around..

Im thinking about cutting a hole in the side of the wall and installing a 4" inline fan to blow the hot air outside thespace and into my living area.. I'm alittle hestitant to start cutting my into my foam walls because theres no room for error so i would like to get some experienced feedback on what i can try to combat the heat issues im facing... thank you!!

please see pics ( they may need to be rotated to be viewed correctly )

You may need many holes...
MJ growing over 85 f degrees indoor, for any length of time will harm your plants...
I have cook a plant before trying to get it perfectly close... too much heat...
Can you get a cool tube with your MH lamp?
Intake and exhaust for your lite...two holes...
Intake and exhaust for your foam grow room...two more holes...
If you are thinking of a 4" go with a 6"...
If you think you will be ok with a 6" get a 8" duct...
You can not move enough air to cool your room, so you need to cool your lamp, and room...
Good Luck...

You need an AIR COOLED HOOD in that small a space........1000w mh.........115°f or higher?.......can you can exhaust into the attic? I would think it would warm your living area a little, visitors might think the hot air blowing out of the wall odd.GL

I'm basically living in the attic its around 650 sq ft... yes 115f it where it typically stays ...

You need an air cooled glass tube.......dude you'd be better off with 2 400w hps,but thats a whole some thing else,sorry......air-cooled,you want to pull cool air from your living area to cool the bulb and with a seperate fan, some vent hose and vent the hot air into a seperate room if you can, the attic would be fine.I put a regular 9" 3 speed fan in my ceiling to exhaust hot air out of my grow closet to the attic.GL

Edit:..You live in the attic!????vent out the roof ....if you know how:)

What if i purchase an 6" inline fan and connect it to my wall would that pull out enough hot air from the space?

it would alot cheaper too

He sounds pretty spot on here. Taking a look at the space and your temps, one 6" inline fan is not going to change the temperature from the 100's down to low 80's. You say your temps are in the 100's. Does it feel like 100 when you're working in there? Where are you pulling your reading from?

i use a little digital temperature that tells current temperature and humidity highs and low points ..
any where from 105-115f to hot!!

also im considering using 600w mh bulb instead of my 1000w would this bring the heat down some ?

There are going to be multiple issues with your setup.....Heat being number one. To remove heat you have to isolate it and remove it to another area outside the grow. It could be just to the room outside your stealth are but know ambient temps will play a factor as well. If your box is in a room that is already 80 then it will be to hot with a 1000....unless your pulling cool air from another place as well for intake. You say stealth does it have to be quite? Because those fans will make some noise along with air passing through ducting. At some point you will also need a carbon filter for smell....and you will need a fan to pull air through that. I do a small closet grow 2'x4'x8' area with a 400 and have a 4" 160 cfm inline fan that pulls through a filter then my hood (vented hood with glass) and then blows hot air into attic. My spare room gets about 75-80 and my temps run 78-82 typically....the cooler my room is the cooler my grow space gets. I use a passive intake due to negative pressure from pulling air out of room. So I am sucking in cooler air. For your setup I would recommend at least a 6" fan 400 cfm...again prepare for some noise if this is a room you sleep in you will hear the fans. You will need a cool tube or vented hood 1K light is hot! How big is your grow area anyway from the pics it looks like you have a 2'x4' tray. wondering how high....I really wouldn't want to go over 600w in my area and even that light would push my temps up making it hard in warm summer months unless the AC is going. Little AC unit may be an option as well but personally it may be better to downgrade light instead. It will cost a lot to run both light and AC and all the rest of the fans...you really don't want anything over 85. The other day I was doing some maintenance on my setup and turned off the inline fan pulling hot air out and my temps jumped from 78 to 95 in about 10 minutes. Also I have messed around with taking glass out of hood and that made my temps jump up about 3 degrees.

When you say exhaust through your wall where would it exhaust to a main room? It will warm up that other area and smell as well unless your have Carbon filter....had a buddy with 1k and vented to attic and it would warm his whole house...lol I couldn't really tell much but he swore in the winter he didn't have to turn on heater as much...lol Anyway, there are a few little tricks that will help a few degrees but you need to pull that hot air out of your little grow area.

I have since purchased (1) 6" fan that is bringing in outside air and ducting to room and another port on the side that lets out air. the temps are anywhere from 70-90f depending on the weather. I recently purchase another 6" fan and would like advice on where to put it.
