Help with Heat

Hey guys i just readjusted my set-up, right now im running two florescent 13 watt lights, and just added a third over my little sprouts. My problem is however, that the area they are in is often cold, (The windows are always open from smoking) i have pretty limited space, so they cant really be moved. So i was thinking about adding an incandescent light-bulb into the area to possibly generate some more heat. Does anyone think this might work?

Ill post some pics in a little

How cold? Water bed heater or electric blanket will help. If you have other electric appliances could move them closer to area (TV, computer, etc.) Yes the bulb will bring some heat. But against an open window, might be pissing in the ocean.

Also, open window = security concern, moreso down the road as you need more lights and smell becomes more pronounced.

How cold is a good question atava. If they don't drop below 50 (even lower would be cool) at night. and stay around 68 or better around the plant (CFL's are not exactly cold) you should be totaly cool. Cool weather will stop them from becoming stretched out monsters for everyone to see.

investing in another cfl might be beter if it's a little chilly.

And if you live in a Mini-soda type clime...well i'm getting cold just thinking about it.

thanks guys. Theyre actually not in the window, sorry if thats what i made it seem like. Im waiting for my phone to work again, because its my only camera. But ill have some pics pretty soon. It definitely doesn't drop below 60 degrees in my room, but i figured that might somehow hurt the plants. Does anyone know if adding the 1 incandescent light could improve plant growth? I have heard that only incandescant will not work, but possibly in conjunction with three 13 watt florescent lights might it speed thigns up?
