I germinated my beans like I normally do and all of them popped. This time around I bought a seed starter kit that has a plastic dome with it so I could also start some veggies inside too..I put my sprouted beans in some starter containers but with the dome on the tray and it under fluorescents with the heat mat on as well the temps are around 90 F..is that to hot? my lights are about 4 in away..I don't want to toast my babies
I took the dome off and with the heat mat still on the temps under the lights are more in the low 80's
the main question i have is should i put the plastic dome back on and turn the heat mat off until they come through the soil and then remove the heat mat? or should I leave the dome off and the heat mat on till they break through..I also could put a timer on the heat mat and only have it on with the dome while the lights are off..my main concern is where I have my setup it can get a little cool at night..maybe like 60-65
what do you guys think?
