Vivosun 4x4

Only doing 2-3 plants max. I’m looking at amazon for lights and I see some that are 1000w led but only pull less than 300 actual watts.

So for 2 plants at a time and getting good yield what lights should I go with? Been doing lots of research and my brain hurts. I like the idea ofLED for less electricity and cooler temps

Would HID be about the same electric use as Led? Can’t afford hundred dollar increases in electric lol.

What HID would you recommend

And why couldn’t I just adjust the light ? Why does the size of tent matter? Guess I thought it would be good for future upgrades

because you need x amount of light to cover y amount of space. That is why. You bought X space. Now you need Y light to put in it. SUre you can get any random LED piece of shit, and you may get you through flower, but you're gonna have a super stretchy, weak, airy budded plant.

Could t I section it off and make it 3x4 or 2x4? I guess I dont understand why it matters so much. Fml for being a noob. I thought I’d need 4x4 for two plants

why not just grow more plants? Like I said, get a mars hydro or some piece of shit if you want, you can still grow a plant. it just won't be a very good plant. don't expect golf ball nugs or anything. Should of done more research before you started buying stuff. Like you said, you bought it in case you want to upgrade later. upgrade now, get the big boy light, grow some real cannabis. put 16 plants in there in 2 gallon containers, veg a month, then throw into flower.

Ok so if I go with a 600w HPS how many plants should I stick to? I don’t want more than 4 at a time.

Also would it ensure a better yield with 2-3 plants on a single 600w?

I guess I dont understand why two 1000w LED (280actual watts per light) wouldn’t be good for 2 plants. Thanks for all the help this far. Saves me from major headache and shifty outcomes

Lighting budget?

315w CMH.
COB Array.
Quantum Board/Strip leds.

If you want the cheapest, oldest, but effective, most inefficient on electricity, and most heat produced, then consider HPS. Dime a dozen on craigs.

Look around on the forums for examples of 4x4's and what people are doing in them. Plant count, soil/coco, scrog, etc...

Was trying to stay around 200ish for lights. I just want to do two plants at a time but at least get a good yield out of my time spent

I have a sun systems yield master pro switchable ballast 1000w already but figured that would make too much heat.

I'm in a 4 x 4 using a 600w HID.

Its not about how many plants can you fit, its about having a full canopy. That can be 60 plants or one. It all depends on the veg time you are happy with and any plant counts you may find yourself trying to stay within. (im in an illegal country and state and need to be under 20 to avoid a "trafficking amount". Which I happen to be over by about 3...)

Just trying to stay less than 4. It’s for personal and I spend too much on pot. Plus how cool it is to grow your own and pick your strains.

I could try the 315CMH saw a few journals and looks like it works. Only problem is I don’t see an air cooled hood. So I assume I suck the heat through my carbon scrubber To the fan to the exhaust duct
