help with Magnesium deficiency

well my plant has a mag deficiency what i really need to know, everyone says to put Epsom salt, 1 tablespoon Epsom salts/gallon of water i use a hydroponic set up is the conversion stay the same? do u add Epsom salts too what nutes i am already put in? should i reduce any nutes? i need the rust spots gone if i can.

also i use calmag after i filter my water with a stealthRO can i add more calmag or does it have to be Epsom salts?

Be careful with it, but yes you can use just the cal/mag. Be aware that P, Mg and Ca are a delicate balance. An overabundance of one can cause lockout of one or more others. Especially when using high P flowering nutes, where many times an Mg imbalance will appear to be a P def.

yea i have read the back of the jug of cal mag has almost double the cal to mag i think the cal is helping to lock out the mag which is why i wanna know about the Epsom salts

If the Ca is in fact locking out the Mg, then cut the cal/mag and go with just the Magnesium Sulphate (Epsom)

well i cant say for sure so i will add some more cal/mag at first as i have not tried to add more yet, but i am using 10ml of cal/mag for a 2 1/2 gallon reservoir.

some leaves may repair to a point but some damage could be to bad so they won't repair fully. The new growth will all be healthy! that's what you are looking for good luck

Like the unpronouncable one above this says, NO. Just keep your eye on the new growth for signs of improvement. The crispy brown necrotic areas are gone.

Yep, thats why (among many other reasons) it really isnt a great idea to use huge P content "Bloom Boosters". Not to say they don't work, or WILL kill your plants for certain, just that the odds of problems go up exponentially.
