i have 5 42W CFLS on my plant and they are 1 inch away. Theres one on top, 4 on each corner and there all 1 inch away from the longest leaf. Is that fine? I did the hand test and it got alittle warm but not super hot.....Is this fine?
u only have 1 plant???? 5 42w will make a decent amount of heat.. Start the distance from the top of the plant at 1" and if you notice any burning or drooping etc step it back another inch or so...
dude ull get more than 5g's with 5 42w cfls I would say for 1 plant 210w of cfls lots.. I use 5 42w cfls for my veg room with 8 plants under neath and a 400w for flowering... might as well not use the fluro tubes..
my plants around 5-6 weeks old and its 6 inches big. Ive started flowreing 3 days ago with 5 42W Cfls 2700k and 2 fluorecne ttube 32W 5100k but im going to change the floruzerscent to 3100k soon. Im also using Shutlz nutes 10-15-10 but so far i used it once 1/4 stregnth
i'd say move the lights back another inch or two. you have plenty of light for 1 plant and should be more worried about temps. flower today and you'll end up with well beyond 5g.
