Help with overwatered seedlings

Hi all,

This is my first grow and I'm using g13 pineapple express seeds.

It didn't take long for me to make my first mistake. After I germinated my seeds (paper towel method) I planted them into a solo cup and watered them. I now know that I should have moistened the soil before planting and not watered them afterwards.

My question is, did I definitely kill them and should I just start over or should I wait a few more days to see what happens? Is there a chance they could survive? I planted them in the cups 2 days ago and they haven't broken the surface yet. I watered them once after planting them and then again yesterday. When I was looking up how long to expect to wait for them to sprout that's when I read I messed up.

What are your recommendations for how I should proceed?

as long as the pot has drainage holes they should be alright, dont drown them
how deep did you plant them,

One knuckle deep, which is about an inch. What do you consider drowning them? I poured water until there was a small puddle on top of the soil but I do have a lot of drain holes so it all went through the soil out the bottom and did not sit in the cup. I do not plan on full on watering again, I put plastic bags over each cup to keep some moisture in and letting the air out of the cups a few times a day.

Sounds like a your a panicking new grower. What do you mean you 'drowned them' ,you cant drown new sprouts in medium they love water. Reduce watering when or if they surface and dont dig or prod around in there to see how its going in the mean time, just leave it, the process could take up to 10 days.

I normally do a stupid amount of research and reading, but I thought I knew how to transfer seedlings to solo cups after watching 2 videos (that were very similar). Neither mentioned when or how to water them after transferring and I assumed it would be similar to watering a regular plant. this is my first grow and I realise I'm not going to learn everything there is to learn beforehand and am trying to ask questions and research as best I can. The rest of the learning will just have to happen through errors.

Nah. I poke knuckle deep. If it can't break the soil, screw it I don't want it.
1/4-1/2 inch is common.

Just don't water again.

Using paper towels and extra steps can harm a seedling. The tap root developes fine root hairs. When you move them you can break those hairs and it can introduce a pathogen or bacteria and cause damping off.

I plant straight to five gallons. Poke a hole and leave it alone.

give it a week if not. Start again

thats how I learned bruh, by making mistakes., now im growing in super soil and i highly recommend it, i just water once a week and thats it!! At longest u watering. The right amount your lights are good the distance your schedule rt rh are good ur golden its really easy. Google super soil recipes. And i bet u u will never go back. Gl

Anyone know why a seedling leaf would point up like in the attached pictures? I tried googling and there was conflicting information from needs water to too much heat from the light to needs more light...

4 of 6 seeds sprouted, I don't think the other 2 will but I will leave them in the tent a bit longer to make sure.

Should i be concerned about the leaf pointing up? I do think they need to be watered (I haven't watered them since Wednesday last week after being scared i over watered after planting them) and plan on doing that 15 minutes before lights on tonight.

the only way you can really tell if you need to water them is if you water them feel how heavy they are after that then let them dry out and you will get used to how light they are when they need to be watered. its what ive always used.

Chill man or its going to be a long ride.

No need to freak out. Don't panic and make small adjustments and give time to see the results.

They look fine.

Keep it simple.
