In my early days, I have germinated seeds out in the blistering hot sun.
Humidity and shit like that is not a deal breaker.
A small seedling has everything it needs inside the seed. All it wants is light.
It would probably grow in a handful of moist cardboard shreds.
The correct amount of light is produced by a 20ish W spiral CFL or 10W led bulb in cool white spectrum at about 1.5 to 2" from the top adjust as the plant grows to maintain that distance.
With enough fresh air for CO2 and this light, they should grow to at least half a foot in 10 to 14 days.
You just moisten the grow media, plant your seed, and don't do anything for a week unless it germinates faster.
You can cover the top with some glad wrap with holes in until it germinates if you are scared it will dry out.
If it takes more than a week, ad one tablespoon of water over the spot the seed is at every night.
you just have to keep this little bugger moist and given a tiny bit of food and microbes if you are into that until you see the first leaves.
You literally have to interact with it maybe 3 or 4 times until you have your first true leaf set.
Messing with it any more, however well intended, leads to shit.
