Help with soil for Autoflower!

I have some autoflower seeds that I want to grow. However I don't know which soil I can get since there aren't any hydro shops anywhere near me. There is Home Depot and Lowes. I would like to get a type of soil that has no nutrients added into it already so that I can add my own nutes. This is my first grow with soil and with autoflowers so I have no clue as to what I should do! Does anyone have any suggestions for what soil I can buy at Home Depot or Lowes to where I can add my own nutes? Also any info on feeding schedule would be very much appreciated! Any info that anyone can give me would be great! My last grow I used DWC with just bagseed and they came out great for my first time! But I'd like to try soil this time! Or should I just stick to DWC since I already kinda got that hang of that? I would be using a 600w HPS! Again any help would be much appreciated! Thx..... HB

No suggestions guys?..... I've been reading up as much as I can to kinda get an idea of what type of soil to use! The majority of you guys don't recommend Miracle Grow... My guess is since it already has so many nutes added into it, then it would probably burn my girls once I start them on my own nutes.... Right? So I'm thinking organic maybe or regular potting soil??? Something with a low NPK level? I don't know!!! That's why I need yalls help on this one. Well its Christmas and I know everyone is probably caught up doing the family thing just like me so hopefully someone can find time to throw some advice my way sometime soon. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all and I hope you're all enjoying your frosty trees! Hope to hear from ya soon. Thanks....... HB.

I'd use miracle grow's "organic" line. Make sure to plant the auto in a big pot, as you dont want to transplant once its short veg period is over. Feeding schedule is based on what you get but from what I have learned, with autos you need to feed as if you were transitioning between veg and flower in a photoperiod plant. When it has about 5 nodes, start er up!

What you want to do is go to either home depot or lowes and look for HUMUS. That is the best that your going to find in a bag at the chain stores. But if you want something better call around to nurserys and see who sells landscaping dirt for flower beds. Be sure to add pearlite to the mix 1 part pearlite 3 parts soil. The pearlite holds the water, do not use peat moss its to acidic. If they don't carry it try sod places or just ask when you are talking with a nursery. Most people use the FOx Farm Ocean Forest[SUP]®[/SUP] Potting Soil to grow with and they do have a location finder that you can find out if there is someone close buy that sells it. here is a link to fox forest where to buy page. If you use fox farms soil you donot need to add nutes to the soil.

If you want alot of info before you plant read this thread completely its long but you get the insight of someone that has been growing for a long time and he discloses everything no secrets.

As far as nutes here is a link http://www.advancednutrients.com/hydroponics/index.php. I have heard that these are the best to use. They are not cheap but they do work. You will need a meter to mesure parts per million of solids try greners.com they have it all

I would caution the use of full strength FFOF as it is a preloaded fertilizer mix. Granted, much better and more balanced for mj than MG, but you can have the same problems, imo.
