help with Soil position?

id like to know how it would make a difference if you plant a seed in a large mcdonalds cup (tall and slim) or rather a pot for plants that is wide and big.

i know if you grow the roots in a deep butt kind of skinny pot it makes the plant grow short or tall, something like that.

Most growers prefer a tall deep pot because then the roots can run deep. The only disadvantage to a tall narrow pot is that it tends to take longer to dry out, and the bottom stays soggy.

Drill lots of air-holes in the bottom, and even in the sides near the bottom, and put an inch or 2 of pearlite in the bottom and you should be fine, :joint:

your fine using the taller skinnier one, this allows for more plants in a small area too if height isnt an issue.

so would growing them into a large mcdonalds be fine?
and
correct me if im wrong. a taller and slimmer pot will make the plants grow short and stalky?

ps.
whats pearlite?

oOOooo i c now. well is there any way to grow regular seeds short? thats what im really aiming for

yeah theres a few different ways once they get bout 6 inches tall pinch the tops off and put them into flower mode or you could lst them tie a loop around it and bend it over and ties it down but id just stick with topping it and put it straight into bud mode by the way what kinda seeds you got or is it just bag seed
