Hi there im in need of some help, i got a cutting yesterday,think i did all the right stuff, sterile sissors, 45 degree angle cut, in the rooting compound,then in damp soil.put in under light yesterday 18 on 6 off and looked today and all the leaves have just drooped down and it looks sick, is this just shock,will it pick its self up again.got all the ph right and i didn't overwater it.and didn't feed any nutrients.the light is about 10 inches above it. please help.

ummmm....

cloning in soil is very difficult... What is happening, is your plant is loosing its WATER.. it may be to late to save your baby...

What you can do is PUT a platic dome over her... the moisture inside the plastic dome may save your plant.... a cuting loses water through its leaves and it has NO roots to get more water...

Your technique sounds good... you will have much much greater success using rockwool cubes (and if you can, use WILT SPRAY)..

Next time try some Stim-Root, a hormone to, well, stimulate rooting.

Reminds me of that old joke..... How do you make a hormone? he he
