I have 2 400w metal halide and hps I was wondering should I use both for veg. Or should I use 400w for veg then 800w for flower? Would using them both in veg be worth it or be a waste of power?
 
Only use what the footprint of the light covers well. In veg you may only need one mh, but in flower when they start to stretch you may need to go up to two lights so the footprint covers the canopy.

Thanks for reply! :) so there is no point to having more light coz it would just be going to waste ATM

I have a 1.2x1.2x2 metre grow tent, and have 3 plants arm but will have 7 coz I just got some white widow and ak47 so wanted to grow some good stuff the other plants are just random seeds of a mate
