Help!

So a couple of my girls are having some type of issue that started at the lower leaves and seems to be spreading a bit. The newest growth is fine and healthy but I'm trying to figure out what caused this. They have spots that are slightly discolored light brown and feel dry to the touch on certain leaves but not all. The edges are also crisp and it seems like the leaves are deteriorating. The medium is soil. Anyone who can help? I'll admit I did water with tap with 4tbs of big bloom last watering and haven't really been PH'ing. (they're only 2 1/2 weeks old) IMG_6829.JPG

even big bloom? It's very low N-P-K and the fox farm feeding schedule says to start after week 1. I did put 2x the amount on their feed schedule since the bottle said 4tbl and the schedule said 2tbl, so you think it's nute burn?

It's not under feeding. If this happened after that feed, then that would be the obvious thing to look at. If this was an issue prior to the feed then you do not have your soil dialed in, assuming all of your other environmental factors are in order.

IMO, the FFOF feeding schedule is too aggressive. Small plants don't need much. That said, I wouldn't think Big Bloom itself would be much of a problem. You mixed up 4 TBS per gallon of water?

Yea 4Tbs/gal as I was going off the bottle until someone mentioned I should follow the schedule from their website instead. I guess my main question is if maybe the chlorine from the tap could do this or PH could be off, but then I don't understand why only 2 of my 5 girls ended up with this problem. They are all the same strain too.. I did get a PH meter so I'll be checking the tap mixed with the big bloom to see where it's at if that helps any.

You shouldn't be feeding seedlings. They have enough food in the endosperm for three to four weeks. Big bloom isn't even the right stuff for a vegging plant.

uhm yes it is.... Everyone seems to think since it says bloom in the name it's not supposed to be used in veg. It's just micronutrients and are supposed to be used from start to finish. Tiger bloom on the other hand is not.

Then why do they make grow big? You shouldn't be feeding a two week old seedling anything.

Okay feed it what ever you want then. Bugeye and myself have literally grown 1000s of plants I guess we don't know what we're talking about.

Well everyone says that and gets corrected in every other thread I've seen about big bloom. The only ones saying not to use it in veg don't use Fox Farm nutes and just make assumptions that big BLOOM is a BLOOM nute, which it is definitely not. I can post plenty of examples of these threads but that's not why I came here. I'd like some help not incorrect information...

It says on the chart for seedlings and cuttings. That is a bad chart you don't feed seedlings. Everyone has a problem with foxfarm. I used it for a year. I gave the entire line a try, soil and hydro.

I'm just confused as all the information I'm getting is mixed. Some people are telling me to follow the schedule to the tee, and now I'm being told I shouldn't? I'm not claiming you guys aren't more experienced or that your wrong, I even explicitly said you could be right about the over feeding. So you would just feed plain water for a few more weeks?

Ok, fair enough I can see how that's possible. I'm a rookie on my first grow here and after seeing so many others doing it with no issues I assumed the same would work for me. On a side note is there a reason only 2 out of my 5 were burned? They're the same strain, do different phenos take nutes better/worse or something?

think company policy = ££££ or $$$$= big car and Dolly birds..
no need to feed as the good Dr said 2-4 wk or lomger The plant WILL let you Know.

each child will eat at different rates

Luck of the draw I would imagine. I burnt two of my XJ13's by feeding them when they were still under 12 inches tall. The others are just fine. Don't know if it had something to do with soil dampness or what. Maybe the two were dryer than the others. I am back to water only until I see a need for food.
