Ummmm you sure that's potting soil or and I'm just spit balling here dirt that you toss cow shit in. Looks like that stuff has zero drainage. Might want to get a good quality soil

The soil!

Timed release is formulated to screw up MM! Scotts even admitted it in a press release, when they bought G&H!

It's bit hot right now (the soil) so DON"T water till the soil needs to be watered!

For sure don't overwater or you'll really see what "burnt" is!

The reason I ask is it doesn't appear to be very good soil looks like my yard if I dug a huge clump out and threw it in a pot

Its the time release that you have in the mix... if your going to use time release soil id recomend only a little in your mix...best is none at all.

It's the soil ... Compacted , choking the shit out of her. You need soil that is well aerated and loose enough for new young roots to move threw . Soil definitely ain't PH'd for that little girl so its burning her.

Go buy a bag of Black Gold Garden ( at least ) , not MG. This a light nute balanced soil that works pretty good with beginning plants. ADD some perlite to this mix.

Black Gold Garden : $6.99
Chunky perlite : small bag $4.99 ( nursery )

Transplant her ASAP.

If your cow manure still stinks that much.. it is too fresh to put in soil!!
Pasture dirt needs to stay in the pasture.. in only contaminates the potting soil...
Good try tho!
Its aged manure for 40 yrs in the barn when they gather up.. The deeper I dig the blacker the dirt. The top layers is brown like a brownie
