Hey guys!

I'm a newbie, so all help will be great. I'm looking to setup a grow. Both rooms that I am able to use are 12x12x8. I plan on getting this tent https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00LBNS9MQ/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_86_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=985DDP8S1C5GNN0WTGDK

A few questions.

1. I'm trying to maximize the grow, so is this the tent I should be getting?

2. Should I get two of these tents both for each room?

3. I want to harvest every few weeks, should I veg in one room and flower in another?

4. Also, I can put holes in the walls to create a better air flow, but how will I really cool the rooms down?

Please bare with me since im newb.

There are windows in the room and the neighbors houses are VERY close to each other. Wouldn't I need an ac for the room? I was thinking of using 4 1000 watts. Is that too much or what? I want to maximize this space

How many lights would you guys recommend? Should I use 600 or 1000?
I depends on ur setup. Like if u went with the tents. I forget how big they were. But u could prolly get away with a 400 watt. 600watt in each tent would prolly b better. But if ur gonna use both rooms those 2 1000watts would b perfect for one room.

Wow, you're really jumping in. This article may help you plan your space and light requirements. In general, the guideline is:

Watts per square foot (wattage per sq ft WILL vary by light source):

Minimum wattage per sq ft.: 30w
Mid Range
wattage per sq ft.: 50w
Optimal Range
wattage per sq ft.: 50-80w

So if you have 100 square feet of grow space and you're planning 4x1000 watt HIDs, you're in the ballpark at 40w per square foot. However, you have the heat issue to contend with, so other lighting options may work better for you (Cobb Lighting / LEDs). Unfortunately, I know nothing about that type of lighting to be of any assistance.

If you go with 4x600 watt, you're only at 24w per square foot...well below the guideline. So that route doesn't look like enough power.

This article may help to explain it quickly.
