my buddy has a 4x8 flood and drain table. he wants to do a flush during mid-flower. he gets salt built up on his heaters and pumps so he want to flush it all at 4 weeks. then return to regular feeding. he doesn't know how long to run the straight water. or if it is just straight water. any help and i'm sure he will be thankful. :peace::joint::joint:

I think a couple days would work fine too... just long enough to get the crap out... But look at what I use :)

Thats not the way to do it. Cleaning out the table from salt residue has nothing to do with flushing the plants. You can flush those plants for as long as you want, its not going to clean out the table. These are seperate operations. Flush the plants with a solutionat 1/4 strenght of nutrients, enough for 2x the size of the pot and let them drain. Remove them from the table. Clean the table , the pumps, heaters and resevoir, etc. Put it all back together with fresh nutes. Make sure he is letting the water he is using sit for a day before use, might help to get rid of some of the buildup for next time. VV
