water every day for the first week then every 2 days you want your water ph at 5.8-6.0 .the point of watering everyday is because the top half of the perlite dries fast and your roots won't grow into it unless it has water.

What are you using as a medium? I use 100% perlite and hydro nutes pHed to 6.0. Water when the reservoir in the bottom of the pot dries out. I usually pick up the pot and through experience, you'll be able to tell right away if it needs water. You could grow entirely with a 44oz cup depending on how big you want the plant to get. Generally, roots aren't as restricted in hempy buckets as soil, so you can grow bigger plants with smaller pots.

any good nute will work but if you got the perlite from walmart it says enhanced with miracle grow.. don't use any nutes for 2-3 weeks.

you need to water every day at first do not wait for it to dry out. the top half will be dry every day the bottom holds water but in a small container you want roots from top to bottom, so the top can't always be dry.

no way the top 4 inches of my bucket dries out in hours so if the top inch or so in a cup will not grow roots your losing a lot of room

Yes. You can use soil nutes. You can even use organics. Did you do any research?

About the MG perlite, its npk are all under 1% which means they're negligible. When in doubt read the package. I've also always read that perlite is for drainage and vermiculite is for water retention.

yes you can use any nutes you want, and the perlite does dry out faster that's why i said to water every day for at least the first week.i don't use the vermiculite because it just forms a sludge at the bottom of the bucket, its not helpful in any way.
