Been looking at some other threads on other forums about people different hempy grows and I ran into a thread that a Guy said he used something called an AIR POT with his hempy grow. I looked up air pots and they look really cool. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about air pots. If so please sure the info.

I have a bunch of them but have only just started to use them. I bought mine after researching journals used with them on the internet because they seemed to make a pretty big difference over standard pots (those without holes). I don't think these are more or less effective than Smart pots, but then its been awhile and I managed to lose my links to the air pot grows.

The only issues with these is you may have some water leak out the wholes around the sides if you water too quickly, and these pots may need to be watered a little more often since its easier for their contents to dry out with all the air wholes.

AIR POTS.jpgAir-Pots kick ass!!! I'd buy them.

They cost about 2X more than a Wal-Mart pot of comparable size and last just as long (unlike smart pots). If you live on the east coast of the USofA, perfectroots . com is the place to buy from. The 2 gallon/7.5L Air-Pots are the perfect size for flowering clones and seedlings; use the 3 gallon/12.5L Air-Pot for mother and monster plants.

The only draw back is how fast water evaporates out of these pots (as a result, high humidity). Therefore, watering every other day is a must; everyday if you have hot grow rooms. Use regular water in between the twice per week nute regime. Soil run off isn't a problem for the smaller pots, but use window screening at the base of larger pots (2gal+) to be on the safe side. Also if you're using soil and move the pots around a lot, small soil chunks tend to fall out of the sides. So using mini rockwool cubes, STG hail/loose fill, expanded clay, or coco coir, instead of dirt, would be the ideal medium.

On the flip side you get the development of a perfect root system which means plants focus less energy circling their roots; all this leads to plants growing as fast as hydro methods. The roots always stay aerated, so excessive watering doesn't hurt. Transplanting is super easy: just unscrew the holding pins and unwrap the pot. And lastly, Air-Pots disassemble for easy storage.

P.S. For those of you who have the C.A.P. MONSTER EBB & GROW system, the 2 gallon/7.5L Air-Pots fit perfectly into a standard 5 gallon bucket, and for larger capacity pots use the 2.39 gallon/9L Air-Pots.

Do you think I can combine the hempy method with air pots. For example, take an air pot put something underneath each pot to act as a reservoir, preferably something that will hold about 2 inches of water, to mimic the reservoir in a hempy bucket. To me the hempy air pot seems like it would work better because your roots are getting more oxygen and you are still growing with the hempy method. Someone please share some knowledge because I feel like I might have really run across a new and great idea. ALL ROLL IT UP MEMBERS please offer your opinion on this idea.

Don't plan on having any scraggly buds under my 1k and light mover
As long as there is crystal on the eyeleaves I throw them in the grind also. Lets face it, under every magnificant cola there are a few scraggly buds. When the time comes you'll appretiate the hash.
