Herbies freebie: Holy Grail 69 seedling

Hey all, So I received this Holy Grail 69 (feminized) recently as a freebie with my order. The lineage for this strain: Matanuska Tundra x Chronic, crossed to a pure haze. After a couple of crappy freebies in the past, I wasn't really sure is she would even germ, but here we are about 2 wks after she did. I am keeping her under a small 18w CFL for now, until I have more space under the HPS which is being occupied by a Delahaze about 3 wks in. Here she is, hanging out with a bubbler- buddy :-P :

I hope it turns out great for you. I ordered from Herbies once and got some Kerala x Skunk #1 freebies and I liked them. They were huge yielders and had a really potent paranoia inducing head high for the first 20 minutes or so that plateaued into a good productive head trip. My avatar picture is one of them. I would have kept , but the colas got too big for my climate and would mold from the inside out. So they must have some good freebies once in awhile.

Thanks bro, Your avatar looks impressive ! I have to be careful with sativas myself, as I don't enjoy the paranoia some of them tend to produce. Still, the best smoke I've ever had to date was a NL#5 x Haze I grew nearly 20 yes ago. There was no paranoia with that strain, just a wonderful UPLIFT I totally fell in love with. Going to order Sensi's NL x Haze as I am sure it is a great (and probably the Original) version of this outstanding hybrid :leaf:

Looks a little hungry. Just a little yellow. The breeding sounds totally untested and heinz 57ed but it could turn out to be a super star. Are you going to journal it? It could be a really interesting plant. What do they say about what its supposed to be more reminiscent of? Haze or MT, or chronic? Do you have a pic of the catalog pic?

That sounds like a good strain to get. I would probably go with Mr. Nice over Sensi.

Yep, you're right. Thanks for reminding me, I just fed her a dose of fish emulsion. It's been plain h2o until now, so that explains the slight yellowing. Here is a link to an info page on this strain:

If Mr. Nice has a fem version of it, I might check it out. Never tried anything from them but I hear it's a really good seed bank.

Recently transplanted, The Holy Grail 69 chillin' under just 18-watts of CFL. I want to LST her when the time comes, then switch to a 64w CFL bulb. Going to start some Afghani from Seedsman in about a month, and flower the lot under a 400w HPS Lamp. As a result, the Holy Grail should be branchy with multiple colas, while the Afghani will go into flower untopped at about 8" tall. I might use some Affie pollen and hit the Holy Grail with it. The Afghani Indica should provide some good sleep this winter :sleep:

I grew nl5xhaze about 15 years ago and it's was fucking amazing! It was from nirvana though, I was thinking about getting it from sensi just because of how good it was.

I thought you liked the free critical super silver haze? I still have a freebie of that and sleestack and Afganni from herbies.

I like haze hybrids in general but the NL x Haze i ran from BCSC (Marc Emery, 20 yrs ago), was outstanding as far as the buzz went. Haven't met an equal uplift since that time. I am guessing BCSC probably got their genetics from Sensi Seeds, so I thought I'd finally try their version sometime in the future. Pricey seeds though, but likely worth it. I wish Nirvana still sold this strain. Ran their NL x Haze about 10 yrs ago, and it was good, but not as good as the original seeds I got from Emery.

Just a heads up bro, Nirvana still carries it. They renamed it to "sterling haze" but it's still nl X haze.

Now you got me thinking maybe I should give sterling haze a go??
