Herbies Seedbank Customer Service review.... 3-31-2013

I just had an amazing experience dealing with Herbies seedbank and wanted to share....

I'm new to gardening and wanted to start my inventory off the right right way with some high quality seeds/genetics from a repeatable supplier. After sending a few seedbanks questions, via email, on their inventory, shipping conditions and turn around time I opted to go with Herbies. I think it also helped that their website is super user friendly and full of good info.
So I checked a few boxes and and placed an order. Now mind you that I'm shipping to the USA. I was excited to get my new magic beans!! I ordered on a Wednesday and 7 days later my packaged arrived!
Unfortunately I was unlucky and US Customs decided they wanted to have a sneak peak at my magic beans. As you can see from the picture They opened the envelope and then tapped it shut with the green US Customs tape only after HiJacking my beans. The envelope arrived as normal with no notes/letters from Customs. They just stole my beans and carried on.....

At this point I knew their would be no repercussion from Customs. The package didn't have my name on it or my address so them trying to find me would be like pissing in a strong head wind.

Nonetheless, I'm out about $90 bucks and no beans!!! So I email Herbies customer service this picture and explanation of the situation just to inform them that the package didn't make it so they would be aware. I was not even expecting a reply....
5 hours later I get an email back expressing their deepest sympathy and they expressed that they wanted to help out my situation. I won't get to much into the details because after looking at their policies what they did for me is not written in black and and white, but I can say they went above and beyond the call of duty to make everything right.

Long and the short of it is you have many options on where to buy seeds and I my have only tried one of the many options but I can tell you that their Customer Service is far superior to most companies that I have to deal with. I wish my cable company would take some notes from Herbies!!

Good question. Not that I've read about. Too much resource expenditure for too little reward.

That's what I'm thinking...but then I read about a couple that gets a full fledge raid on their home because he bought some goods at a Hydro store. Him the missus, and two kids had vegetables in the basement grow.

Apologies if this amounts to hijacking the thread: but I am also waiting on a resend, because the first has never shown up after a month. I'll admit to being nervous about it.

Check out this link. If they did this with grow shops I have a feeling their doing this with seedbanks.
If anything they could send you crap genetics to stop you from having a successful crop. Who knows?

I did see the option but did not use it. i'm not sure what "super stealth is" but just thinking out load, if they opened the package and went through it I'm not sure any method would have worked?
Do you have experience using that method? if so I'd love to hear about it.

Customs went through my last order from attitude. Used the stealth option.
They didnt find/see the seeds, and everything came fine as always.

In Super Stealth, they remove the seeds from their original packaging and repack them in less noticeable little bags- and then often put them in something else less conspicuous. I always use it just in case because my orders are rather large.....

I received my 1st order today, placed on 3/23. Bought the super stealth option, and it was very stealth. Customs did not open it. I've been a loyal Attitude customer with at least 12 orders placed, but Herbies is my go-to vendor from now on- faster shipping, cheaper prices, more in-stock on strains I want and better customer service. Now waiting for my 2nd order......

Received my second order today in like 6 days......fastest shipping ever from any overseas seed vendor. Great job Herbies!!!!!!

I also had a good delivery from Herbie's in a rather fast way. Maybe a week or so? Fast. That was my first purchase. I wish we could set up a seed barter, but I suppose that is out of the question. I apologize if that is addressed in some FAQ on posting and I didn't see it. Does anyone give or trade seed?
