When it comes to watering, you will hear, "wait until the top soil is crusty, then water". There is a better way to know though. First, decide on a watering schedule, i water my babies every other day. Then how much water do you use? For a 6" to 11" deep pot, i use the same amounts of water. Two full glasses of water(use a regular kitchen glass). If you want to be absolutely sure your not watering too much, water everyother day, with one glass of water. Make sure your grow room has some heat to evaporate your water. Last but not least, fluff your soil daily. Bring the real wet soil, to the top and move the dry to the bottom(cultivate the soil alot, but be sure not to tear the roots).
asked this once already not many answers
i have a 5 day old seedling very healthy under some cfls in a big pot 6 by 6 and i know its terrible to over water the plants.
I was just wondering what people mean when they say by watering the plants and not watering again until the soil dries.
Do you mean to water until all the soil in the pot is moist or just around the root? Cuz if its the whole pot thats a lot of soil to wet.
Thanks in advance good sir
