hey i need some help! Im trying to figure out what kind of setup I need, just got 7 seeds, prolly gonna end up growing 2 in my closet and failing on/giving away the others (for my sister's apartment). They're white dwarves; and I know Im gonna need a light and a fan. I can only afford one light, HPS would be better then MH for an autoflowering strain right? Could you give me some tips on where to get a cheap 250W HPS w/ a ballast? Ive only found 300$+ ballasts!! Im strapped for cash and this is my first grow, I just need the crappiest cheapest lamp/ballast setup, this is just a summer experiment (gonna buy better gear for my other place). Any suggestions where I can find those? Id like to harvest in 10 weeks (gotta go back to college). Thanks bro I appreciate the offer to help!!

hi master.. im using miricale grow dirt with my white skunk do u reckon it would it affect the the buds (make em smaller)because they have grown taller than normal, thanks

ello olnlydrumpearl (thats a mouthful i topped mine and trimed off the rest ov the fan leafs and let em get on with it for a few days then harvested the rest, all was good

I have a 4'w X 5'h X 2' deep closet grow area
6 - 5 gallon pots
6 - beautiful clones
3 light ballasts (part of my question)
Timer - digital with 38 different on off settings
2 - fans - I figure 1 blowing out and 1 oscillating on the plants.
3 - 120 watt energy efficient CFL's

Here are my questions.
1. I purchased CFL's because the normal light ballast's (dome shape) woudnt work with HID's and metal halide. Will 360 total watts of CFL get the job done on 6-8 plants in that grow area?
2. How far from the plant should I keep them?
3. Is it absolutely necessary to have either white walls or reflective material inside the grow area?
4. Can I give them 24/7 light until I am ready for budding? Then switch to 12/12 after 24 hours of NO light?
5. What do I look for to identify harvest time? When do I clip and dry basically?

I have more questions to come but please reply and help me out. I am building everything tonight. YEAH!!!

Go with CFL's! the ballast is cheap, any hardware store carries them. You can get the dome shaped ones for 6.00 and then the 200 watt CFL's are like 8.00. Great way to go on a budget. See my other post, I am new and have about the same situation

1) is a 5 gallon pot sufficient for flowring outdoors?

2) what exactly is 'hash plant'? it doesn't appear to be listed in any strain indexes.

i have a 3ftx3ft area 6fthigh to grow in im thinking of just starting with one plant but how much light probobly led but i dont have 2 or 3 hundred bucks so witch of the cheaper ones would be best

Master. I recently bought a Signaline 338 8 pin recycle timer and don't know how to wire it. The diagram on the installation sheet isn't any help as I don't know how to read electrical schematics. Can you hook me up wit a solution so I can get my aero on the road to happiness?

pods on the end of some buds that are about 3 weeks from harvest. I cut them off but wondered why they are there on my female??? Did it go hermie because I stressed it-took clones after it had started flowering then tried to re-veg.

This is my first grow and they are outside. they are different sizes. How do I speed up the flowering and yeilding of the tops

Total newbie question.

I am currently growing two plants (outdoors), my first grow. Headband and Jack the Ripper, (both purchased clones) I am 1 day short of 2 weeks in flower. The headband looks great with the flowers covered in the white hairs.

The JTR on the other hands looks completely different, the flowers down have a lot of hairs. I have heard that JTR has a tendancy to Hermie. Given that i am totally new to this, i am not sure if this clone has become a male.

Given the lack of white hairs, should i destroy the plant? Yikes.

I am growing in my back woods currently with three plants. I am going to plant ten more soon but need to know what soil to buy and alsohave a question about where im growing-Theres lots of bugs and if i mixed some of the mulchy soil with topsoil and some thing like peat moss would it be fine? Would bugs eat my plants roots??

I can't seem to keep my ph in soil at 6.5. I bought some earth juice ph down crystals and added them to the soil directly ,is that ok?

My plant has been flowering for quite some time but now near the top there were two seed pods forming, so I cut them off. THere is only 3 more weeks left until I harvest. Just wondering what might have caused this???? I did take clones from this one, then tried to re-veg for a few weeks which didn't work so I put back into flowering room

hey I was wondering if you know anything about fox farms Happy Frog tomatoe & vegetable fert 7-4-5 if so what is a good feeding schedule the one on the back is monthly feedings really appreciate any info on this or what would be a good cost effective fert thanks
