Tomorrow voters will decide whether they have had enough of the Republicans being little bitches, and reward them with some more seats in Congress. It's simply amazing that the citizens of this country, in the span of six years, have totally forgotten what got them into this fucked up situation in the first place, namely Republicans.
But, Americans have never been noted to have a long memory, unless it a good sex scandal or a mass murder, so how could they remember the Bush years. So now, after bringing back a semblance of normalcy to our economy, and getting our troops back home, it's probably out the door for the Democrats. This is a cycle that seems to be repeated every six to eight years, with the same result. The Republicans start wars to stay in office, and then they fuck the middle class and poor while enriching themselves. Democrats then get elected to repair the damage caused by the previous Republican administrations, and after a few quick fixes, they get thrown out. The Republicans accomplish this task by blocking anything and everything that might improve the wellbeing of the general public (unless it affects their own constituents), and focusing all their energy on destroying the Democrats. Unfortunately, the nation suffers as a result of this insane form of politics.
Now it appears the Achilles heel of the Obama administration is the lack of any real growth in the job market, and the stagnation, or even decline of the standard of living in this country. Well, Americans better get used to it, because this is the new reality of life in the 21st century in the United States, and there ain't nobody that can put that genie back in the bottle, and go back the glory day's of the 20 years following WW 2. I heard they were nice, but they are gone just like pensions, annual pay increases, smoking indoors and Christmas parties that have open bars.
So, what can we expect for the next 2 years from a Republican controlled House of Representatives and Senate? The Affordable Healthcare Act is probably going to be a prime target, because we all know how that gnaws at the Republicans bones. Do you think if it was named the Un-Affordable Healthcare act the Republicans would like it more? Another action you can bet on is sending troops back to the Middle East, at least to Iraq, if not further. Ever since Reagan and Lebanon, and the Bushes in Iraq, the Republicans have been dragging our soldiers over there and getting them killed.(say thanks Big Oil & Israel)
So, I'd like to hear opinions as to what you think will happen in the next 2 years, if the Republicans win tomorrow. I do expect that the Republicans will win, that being the nature of the American voter to keep electing those fucking idiots, and I expect things are not going to improve much, more like decay even further. But I'm sure the Republicans will find a way to blame that on the Democrats also.
