Here's a Cool build.

Hey everyone. I may have secured myself a decent discarded fridge. Found it at the dump. Just need to get it home. It's 150cm externally. And about 138cm internally.

I plan on keeping two shelves. One for the main light, timers, extractors and power board.

The other can be cut and modified to do double duty as a removable, Scrog screen. And seedling tray for better light saturation to young plants.

I'll cut in some inlets and cover them with light blocking vents. And try and mount the power cord as close to the original as possible.

I started to build some super soil about 3 weeks ago. It's got coco coir. Perlite. Vermiculite. Peat moss. GoGo Juice- soil ecology booster, w/ added kelp and fish. Bokashi bin runoff. And a table spoon of trace elements. I'll add sulphur and dolomite as needed.

I've got three beans in mind from Bonza. Seedism Seeds: AppleJack, Sativa dominant.
Connoisseur Genetics: Girlscout Haze Cookies, (Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze x Girlscout Cookies) Sativa dominant.
And. Strain Hunters: White Lemon, (El Nino x Super Lemon Haze). 50/50 Ind-Sat.

How has this been working so far?

Unfortunately. It was taken by the time I'd gotten the trailer around to it. Apparently someone else had their eye on it too.

You can probably get another fridge in just a few days from Craigslist .

Turns out the fridge is still there. I just need a day where I've actually got the trailer. And not have other shite to do.

If not. There's others I could probably get ahold of.

I'm not having any luck getting this fekkin fridge. Got no idea if I'm still going to use it. Or something else. Even another fridge.

If you actually mangae to obtain said fridge, use something else to grow in and make a temp/humidity controlled drying environment out of the fridge.. my .02 cents...

Large chest freezer turned into a climate controlled clone room using t5s on the underside of the lid would be pretty good. Wish I had more room. Even a garage would be a blessing. Tents are proper limiting :/

Did u end up getting it? U could mess around with blocking the condenser fan, or releasing some refrigerant (It's ILLEGAL because of ozone depletion) if u wanna break the law some more. It'd take some tinkering, but u could get an ideal temp in there

Hi Nugachino, your plants look like they're struggling with water, either over or under watering, you should check on it if possible. Otherwise I'm sorry to hear about the fridge situation, if I were you, I'd either build a grow cab like I did, or convert an old cabinet or drawer into a grow box, it's pretty cheap and easier to find than an old fridge. Keep working on it man, it's worth it at the end. I build everything that I use to grow on my own, it's a lot more rewarding!

Yeah this is a thread I started a while back. When I thought I was going to be using an old fridge.
