3 months ago 2 seeds were planted, lovingly vegged, 2 clones of each were taken before maturity is even reached( about 5 weeks into the grow. Nodes weren't alternating). The two plants moved into flower to be sexed, meanwhile the clones rooted. After about a week both plants are showing male. I think well shit. And remove the two keeping one isolated (perfect male NEEDS to breed) and killing the other.
Project time. One of each clone is taken and put in a "less controlled" room ensuring they receive care typical to that of a first or 2nd time grower. Meanwhile the other two are put in my perfect (not bragging) environment that is the veg tent and was sure to care for and tend to these babies to the best of my knowledge. After a week in veg and a little new growth all four are moved to flower. Within a week the 2 in the less controlled environment have shown true male. And the other 2? U guessed it female. I am by no means calling this cut and dry but it is interesting to think about. It may help show that while it may be dominate to one side or the other environmental influences can play a role in sex determination. Anyone? I know its "this can of worms" again but is this not weird? Anyone else had a try at this experiment if so how did urs go? There will be more test in the near future with more influences at play. Until then please, discuss..
