Im around 3 weeks into flowering when i noticed all my strawberry cough's are lookin a lil hermie. Just want an opinion if I should cut away the pollen sacs while they are still small and just keep an eye out? or just remove them altogether from my grow room before they infect the other's??

so is it impossible to control.... can't just keep cutting away the sacs? I would hate to throw them away if there's something I could do.... but also dont want my others (pure fem's) getting pollinated..

just remove them man. would you rather save 1 plant, than smoke the rest of your buds with seeds?

I'd assume it's just bad breeding and unstable genetics- chop the plant(s) since you're early in flowering. I just had a similar problem with Breeders Boutique and even though I was pinching pods off daily for over 2 weeks, the room still seeded. A lot of wasted time, money and effort. Chuck it and start over with better genetics- you'll be happier in the long run.

I had a crop that had a pretty bad Hermi as well, I just ended up chopping them and popping out seeds.

QUESTION: I started plants up from the HERMI-bud seeds, will the Hermaphrodite genes be stored in those seeds and passed on?
Im a little worried about a full crop of seeded nugs.

you should probably really think, and look, about your grow space, it'd really suck you culling plants only to find out later you had a light leak.

...i don't know anything about your space but if it's POSSIBLE, i'd make damned sure it became IMPOSSIBLE.

the short answer is 'probably', you'll know when you flower them and maybe you'll still get something nice, shit, maybe even a keeper, ...just don't breed her is all.

It depends.... long story short: if the plants are 100% female and then reversed by chemical/stress/etc.- the male bananas produced will be sterile and you'll be fine. If the seed producer was a hack, and had the hermie trait within the parent (poor parent selection), SEEDS GALORE. Sometimes you don't know until the plants are grown out. After losing an entire room this crop- I'd say chop and start over.

Thanks Bozo, Ill find out for sure pretty soon.
But it sounds like I need some new seed
you're welcome man but like i said, you still could find something nice, i'd just not recommend you use her in any breeding projects, ...not all the seeds from a hermie will throw nanners, MANY can flower quite normally, ...you just don't want to carry that gene into the future, grow her, smoke her, just don't breed with her because even the plants you get that don't throw nanners can still carry the trait.

Hell yeah, I dont have space to breed anyway. Although its something Im getting more into.
I appreciate the help Bozo, it seems to be scarce on this site.

i know what you mean man, there do seem to be a few who seem to find a way to prove their ignorance at every turn but don't let that discourage you, don't let fools dissuade you from getting the information you need and if they become too disruptive in the threads there is always the private messaging system.

peace, bozo
