ive heard that hermaphroditic plants produce hermaphroditic seeds but ive also heard that that isnt necesarilly true. can some one clear this up for me?

I assume you mean the seeds are produced by self-pollination. If the plant's genetics are what inclined it to herm, then the resulting seeds will carry these same genetics. If environmental issues caused the herm, then the resulting seeds will produce plants that will likely herm under similar stresses.
If the seeds were produced by cross-pollination, the resulting plants may or may not exhibit herm traits.

im not positive but im pretty sure that a slug attack triggered the plant to pollinate itself, and by what your telling me, this plant was not genetically programmed to pollinate itself if it was not for the slugs thus resulting in non hermaphroditic seeds?

If the stress from the slug attack induced the herm, then resulting seeds will likely herm when attacked by slugs. My experience tells me that this plant will probably herm for a variety of non-ideal factors. In some respects, stress is stress. Can't hurt to pop one and see what it does.

nice. a question about the only theory i've tested so far in my experience. i had a plant go hermie from an accident with my light timer. sadly these plants went hermie, but i dcided to keep the seeds because they were the only chance of making my first species of smoke able to grow again.anyhow , i planted em this year and theyre almost ready for harvest.sadly, i have seen some seeds but i think its from putting a novice in charge of things while i went on vacation.you will have to b on ur shit if yu use hermie seeds, but as long as you watch things you should wind up with sensimilia.so from my personal experience i say go ahead and try it out.herm plants mainly seem to be more related to human error than plant genetics. deep down on the inside theyre still hermie i guess but they wont prodce seeds unless they're treated badly

thank you! this is exactly what i needed to hear. im definetly going to grow the shit out of these seeds regaurdless of the outcome to atleast make some killer hash/browies/goodies. theses plants will be in a semi guerilla grow atmosphere but nothing too far out of the way but still semi close to eucalyptus trees which are known to excrete alot of oil which ive heard eliminates plants around the trees. ive dug a hole and plan on adding store bought soil with the soil there already. im sure that wont be enough to start the plants to hermie and so far this season (late short season) i have had very little slug problems. hopefully i can produce atleast 5-10 female plants with not a single seed in any of them. thanks again!

Some plants just have it in their blood. I can always get fem seeds from my sour diesel if I let it go a bit too long. and i can always count on those plants to give me fem seeds if I let them go too long. And not by stress, just by letting it live.

you mean you flower a plant longer than it should be until it produces seeds and when the seeds are ready they are female??

So far sour diesel is the only strain I've worked with that will do that for me, but I've heard other strains from that bloodline will as well. The pollen is female and viable, and can be used to cross-pollinate. I've tried on purple power, blue cheese, and bubble jack so far. Only the bubble jack took and gave me 3 beans. Of those 1 popped and my neat little Bubble Jack x Sour Diesel girl is on her 6th node today.
