Thanks Purple Stars. Yeah, I'm just getting a standard 400watt HPS, nothin fancy. And I've decided to Veg. with my fluorescent T12's instead of an MH. lol Just iffy about my power consumption. So how long did they take to ship it out? Was it discreet packaging? Just cautious. Thanks in advance.
I cant be to sure on when it came since it was some time last September when i got mine. But everything that i have ever ordered from HTG is always in stock and i get in a week or so its not bad at all. The only thing i hate is when im ordering a bag of Fox far ocean forest soil it cost more for shipping then the dam soil, i need to find an alternative or somewhere to buy it at a better price I wonder if a local nursery can order the Fox far ocean forest soil.

Nice setup Greatwhite! Your ladys look real good. Well this is my first grow so just kinda seein if I could do it. I'm gettin a 400watt HPS from HTG Supply. Is this a safe and reliable light supplier? I'm kinda iffy about Ebay. lol Stayin stealth is also why I don't want to use an MH, but HPS is some what neccasary for flowering. If HTG Supply is not the best, does any one have any other reliable sources. Thanks in advance.
I've searched all around and other than craigslist/ebay they seem to have the best prices. I am looking to trade a 1000hps set up for a 600hps though. :hump:

Yeah, I set my screen @ about 29" & really workem into it for a couple weeks before I shift to fim with weights - I like to veg (M/H) for about 3 mts before 12/12 (HPS) seems to work ok for me & quality is top notch.

Really looks great. Hard to tell how many plants you have in that second picture due to the mylar but they both look good. I had to lay mine down then build the box over it and daily work them inside of the wiring. seems to be working good so far but this 1000 hps is making them skyrocket. I just keep weaving, sewing and bending daily. I'll be anxious to see your final product and weight. How many plants?

Sorry about the mylar, but the plants really like looking at themselves. Total of 10 plants this grow & it took two of us a total of 12 hrs (over two days) to manicure it all. I'll give a weight here in a week or so - almost time to cure now.
Oh, and I noticed that I said I fim after the screen - that should read LST as I try not to cut anything during flower (Thanks Bricktop).

I see some standing but how many were in SCROG method? They really look nice. Can't wait to see some colas. :hump:

I think one of mine is hermie but can't tell really. Can't get the camera close enough to get a good shot. White hairs in flowers but also looks like balls with white pistils coming out of them. I've been removing them and eating them but not sure if they are the beginning of seeds or not.

does the "male" flower have a hood or just anthers? there is a big diff. if just anthers don't worry it's not hermie.
it doesnt sound like tokers plant is a hermie just cuz there is sum pollen. a few thing can cause female pollen.

if u wana make feminized seeds just turn on ur lights in the middle of the dark period during the last few weeks of flowering.
this will cause your female to produce female pollen due to light poisoning, collect that pollen then later u can brush it on what ever bud u want to have seeds on and the rest will be sensamilla.

there will be no males becuase they is only a y chromison. :P

hopes this helps
I'm not sure where the term light poisoning came from - its not mentioned in any published reference I have come across - perhaps a better term might be "light cycle stress" which is the manipulation of the light cycle to induce stress. Fem'd seeds are more prone to adverse reaction to this than non fem'd seeds.

"Most good growers choose standard seeds over feminized seeds for a number of reasons. Feminized seeds are expensive and are more likely to produce hermaphrodites as a result of stress than do standard seeds that are stressed. Since the hermaphrodite condition is not considered advantageous by growers who wish to produce a sinsemilla crop they will generally stick with standard seeds as opposed to feminized seeds, which have a propensity to herm if they go through a little stress."
The cannabis breeders bible (Greg Green)

As for the male flowers being different on a true male plant verses a herme I am not aware that this is true, I understand a hermaphrodite to be a plant showing all the traits of a female that develops male flowers, so I will resort to one more quote & then I'll quit.

"Plants exhibiting both staminate and pistillate flowers are most often referred to as "hermaphrodites" by drug cannabis cultivators but are more correctly referred to as intersex plants."
Marijuana horticulture medical growers bible (Jorge Cervantes).

From my observations and considerable research I cannot find any mention that the male flower would exhibit any traits other than the normal staminate configuration.

Lastly, it is possible for male plants to grow out of fem'd seeds but the percentage of this is pretty miniscule.

Ok, I will relinquish my soap box.

Ok all are in scrog - the main cola's still surpass the lower branches in height (as a general rule) but many buds !!
As for your hermie - don't sweat it yet, do a minimum of daily checks, if they are male flowers you'll know it. White hairs are a good thing, just keep an eye on the questionable growth.
