Hermie?

7 weeks in veg femenized super iced grapefruit. Just saw these forming where I topped it the first time. I'm guessing it's a hermie. I see hairs but then there's that little brown ball. Are male preflowers brown? I always thought they were green. Is there anything I can do like pick them off? Thanks

I dont know thats anything definitive at this point. I'd give that a little time and don't be hasty quite yet.

I think i see a ball pointing up too. Are they all over or is that the only one? Take it off withoit destroying it if you can and get it out if there.

That's why I'm guessing it's a hermie because it was originally a femenized seed. I have 2 other plants that I'm scrogging with it but this plant is much bigger, healthier, and further along so it's going to suck if I need to cut it down.

Its not a male ball, this happens a lot through pre flower at the nodes and just the plants reaction to changing hormones etc etc. The female hair on top of it are all you need to confirm its a female.

Obviously its early days so leave it alone and monitor it closley. Wish i had a penny for everyone of these ive seen on my own plants!

Dude your gona get a lot of members straight up telling you thats hermie or male and to chop it down like right away but thats fem seed and those nodes can throw out some weird growth whilst sexing. Personally ive had green hand shaped growth on little stalks that looked like some midget was stuck in the stem on many a fem seed plant.

Ive said many times before that the sex organs at the nodes are prone to doing some weird stuff and it bears no representation to final sex most of the time.

I see a female hair at the top so thats good enough for me and youll know this for sure in a week or so when the REAL buds start to form and also this will be when you can properly identify male from female.

Sit back and chill till the plant starts to put out its buds before you get chop happy and kill of anything.

They're still in veg at the moment. I'll probably put them into flower in 1-2 weeks once the screen fill up.

I just put this weird behaviour down to teenage years, when shes flowering she will be female no probs and never had a fem seed be anything but.

Forget that hermie stuff as its not relavant till later on in flowering and even then a few bannanas is no big deal.

Chill relax and fill the screen up so you can finally get flowering and youll know the score for ya next grow :-)

Ya man thats the truth. I've had some weird looking things happen especially early on that raised some concern that turned out to be nuthin. I'd cool the jets and just keep an eye on it for awhile. As long as you stay on top of it you can catch it in plenty of time before any balls would burst and throw the dreaded pollen.

1st pic is white widow. 2nd is super iced grapefruit. 3rd is blue kush. The grapefruit plant is growing much much faster then the other two because I think I stunted the other two when I transplanted so there far behind the middle plant. Should I just fill the screen with the middle plant and cross over into there territory? Would topping the middle plant slow it down at all? Any thoughts on what I should do?

I have no experience with screens but topping a plant dosent slow it down for long.

Start a new thread and see what peeps recomend :-)

I wouldn't get too excited. As they said, the hormones are wired.
I'd used a nut "super thrive" in the past, that messes a little with the hormones I heard.

Hope it all works out though, two fingers, two toes & two balls crossed for you :bigjoint:

Oddly enough I have been using super thrive. Going to stop using it immediately.
